Hold up, something happened to FFF? Don't know how I missed that. That was a really fun festival. Honestly that is the best word to describe it.
Think if they had Tool, APC and Puscifer? You wouldn't be able to take a piss without stepping on 20 fanboys.
The two main music guys at Transmission left, forgetting their names now.
Said they're going to hold a fest that's similar to FFF, but no real details. And I think the company that owns Transmission is still planning on putting together FFF.
So if anything happens this year, who knows.
But no way would Tool be at FFF, waaaaay too big for it.

Tool would be the opposite of what that first was going for. 2012 was really cool. Counting night shows and preparty, Longinus and I saw about 65 bands.
Apparently Danny (tool's drummer) confirmed Voodoo plus 4 other shows after his Volto side-project gig recently.
That was my source. My friend was at the show and is pretty much the biggest Tool fan I personally know. He wouldn't have thought to ask Danny if Launchpad McQuack hadn't have already gave us a heads up.
Yeah, no shit. I've never see A Perfect Circle (seen Tool 3x and Puscifer 1x), but I'd love to see them given the opportunity. However, I won't be in my Tool shirt the day they play.

Just the day before and the day after, because (according to Jeremy) only girls can pull off wearing the band's shirt to their gig.
I've never understood the whole "don't wear the bands shirt to their concert" concept.
No one ever says you shouldn't wear your favorite sports team's jersey to the game.
I love seeing shirts from previous gigs at shows. Older the better!
Haha. Yeah. It used to be that way back in the 80s for sure. I don't know how it came about either, but I stopped doing it. I would probably make an exception and wear my Azure Seas Tour shirt if, in the unlikely chance, I ever get to see U.K. Again.

There are certain bands that it is perfectly acceptable to wear the band shirt to. If you go see Iron Maiden, half the people there are wearing Maiden shirts. It's basically fine for any arena act because the place is full of goobers anyway.
And it depends on the shirt with smaller shows. I know a guy in nola that has wore the same shirt to every Melvins gig he's ever been to. It's a homemade shirt with iron on lettering that just says "The Mother Fucking Melvins" and it's never been washed.
2/3 weeks until the lineup. Any predictions at this point? I still have to think Big G will play. They will be in Live Oak Sunday, so maybe. Run The Jewels is a possibility since they have a new album and haven't played voodoo yet. Some people have been guessing Prophets of Rage which would completely rule. If Election Day was that next Tuesday, it would make more sense, but with the week removed, I'd more doubt it. Should be some general fall crossover sets from acl lolla and riots.

That's my boy Fredd. I have known him since I was a teenager (we worked at Steak & Ale in the mid-90s together), we have gone to a million shows together. I love him. lol
I agree, I don't know where that came from, but if it is a band I love and a t-shirt I love I wear it to the show. I wore my Cure Head on a Door shirt from 1988 to their show recently, but it definitely depends on the band, on the shirt and my love of both.

It's just a dildo move in most cases.
Here's a great example. I went to WSP in Mexico and Dominican Republic. 90%+ of people there are wearing their Panic gear for days straight. It's like, "no shit you like Panic, you paid a couple Gs to see them in another country!!" I wore metal tour shirts mainly and made all kinds of friends from people coming up to me being all "Maiden fuck yea!" etc.
If you have some sick shit, like a tour shirt from 20 years ago or something, that is pretty cool to wear to the show in 2016. I mean, I'm always scoping out concert shirts as well, but, especially at like a club or small venue, I already know we have the same interest, so if you are wearing something else I like the chances of me interacting might be higher, which could be a good or bad thing, ha.
For festivals, I think rocking past years shirts is totally cool. If I'm at Bonnaroo and someone is wearing a shirt from 2002-2006, that tells me quite a bit compared to someone wearing a 2015 shirt, for example.
For the record, paying "a couple Gs" to see Widespread Panic in another country is probably endemic to people with severe mental disorders, so I'd cut them some slack on their choice of attire.
We should create a survey. If you were forced to be sober during either...would you rather watch a WSP show or an episode of Friends?
I'd take a WSP gmac show, one where they play a lot of material off of Ball, complete with an excruciatingly long 51 minute setbreak, over an episode of friends.
