Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Tool, Arcade Fire, Profits of Rage, Big Gigantic, Run the Jewels and Bassnectar?
You don't think that Big Grams has a higher chance of playing than Run the Jewels? I have seen Run the Jewels four times already, and I haven't gotten to see Big Grams yet. If the Superjam is awesome at Bonnaroo I might not see them there either.
Phantogram is ramping up with a countdown for their new album, due out June 16th. I think by then, Big Grams will be on hiatus, and Phantogram will be touring themselves. I sadly haven't caught Big Grams either, but I would be happy with whichever may pop up on the lineup.

I just saw the email and got super pumped! I loved Voodoo this past year (my first), and definitely plan on going again. I love being within driving distance to NOLA.
So do we have any solid rumors or is it all just speculation at this point? Tool and Prophets of Rage would be amazing, and throwing Radiohead on top would put me over the top. I'm brimming with trumpet jelly just thinking about it!
They haven't played since 2006. Definitely very likely. Fuck you for pointing that out, but I'd take them over what people are actually hoping for in the Hangout thread for next year.
I knew I should never have gotten my hopes up. I guess they could play, since there have been a very small handful of bands that have played both in the past.
Launchpad started the rumor. I told my friend in Cali. He saw Danny's other band play about a week ago and confirmed with Danny that they are indeed playing. Read the thread.

I think the curmudgeony dots guy is just trying to say, if Tool can play New Orleans twice in a calendar year, why not RHCP.
If it's both Tool and Puscifer, I'll pop. hell, why not A Perfect Circle, since Voodoo posted their throwback photo.

That is not what Juggs is trying to say, but yes it's true bands have played both Jazzfest and Voodoo and others have played in NOLA earlier in the year and then played Voodoo as well. Usually, it just makes it much more less likely.
I thought the performance at Jazz Fest was nothing short of inspired. Then again, it was Jazz Fest, and they brought out 3/4 of The Meters. That's not going to happen though if they played, I could see them bringing out George Porter Jr. again. I wasn't a fan of the setlist just like I wasn't a fan of the setlists when I saw em 2x in 2012. Maybe RHCP plays Mother's Milk, Blood Sugar, Uplift Mofo Party Plan, Freaky Styley or One Hot Minute? Unlikely.
I can't remember where the New Orleans/Gulf Coast upcoming shows thread is located, but wanted to shout out that James Blake is coming to the Orpheum in Sept. Tickets on sale tomorrow

Presale code is JB2016 for Thursday from 10-10. On sale to public on Friday.
James Blake? Is that the guy with that lame "your beautifulllll" song that was forced upon me countless times circa 2006?
hmm, dunno, I'm not super familiar with all his stuff. but his show at bonnaroo a few years back was top notch. he's basically a british/sad crooner, but he sings over some really creative and forward thinking production. Could definitely fall under a wide "bass music" umbrella, but it's definitely not shitty dance music. take Depeche Mode, remove 70% of the angst (but keep the sadness), and change the production from pop oriented and synthy to fucked up and melodically illogical and you have James Blake.
knowing your musical preferences from what I've gleaned from your posts it probably isn't your style, but he is an interesting artist nonetheless.
would love to catch the new Orleans show but midweek ain't gunna happen, especially now that it looks like I'm headed to Dicks for labor day.
anywho back on topic, I am open to returning to voodoo if the lineup is kickass. you hear that voodoo? now that I've thrown down the gauntlet voodoo should release a quality lineup.
lol James Blunt is garbage. James Blake is tight. He rented out some badass house in LA with Chance The Rapper like 2 years ago and i think that's when Chance started working on Surf with Donnie Trumpet. Who knows the kind of tunes they all collaborated on that'll probably never be released.. I think he also has been working on Frank Ocean's new album, but god only knows when that'll see the light..
If Tool is playing this then i'm in. Still pissed about the whole ticketbastard fiasco back in November or December. I should've been at the San Antonio show.
