Tool Arcade Fire The Weeknd Cage The Elephant Die Antwoord Porter Robinson Foals Ghost STS9 Claypool Lennon Anderson Paak Reignwolf Prez Hall Charles Bradley Shakey Graves Bob Moses Saint Motel Bully Lunice Bear Hands All Them Witches Babygirl
More than enough to fill 3 days, and at that price point, looks pretty decent to me. If I'm back in the US by then I'll be there.
I saw them at Hangout last year for 5 minutes and left. ----------- As for Reignwolf, yeah, I saw him and his band. I liked both that set and Hangout. He was great at Voodoo. But he's pretty eccentric, so I didn't want to assume he would be great again (though I'm thinking yeah, ). I'll be at that.
Saw BTSM at waka at 5am because....I wanted to stay up all night and that was all there was.
I don't think Ill make this. There is a lot of good on here but not enough. If LCD replaced the Weeknd, Im there.
Mutemath - STS9 next to each other is fantastic. Estaban def go see Foals.
Ill await Hulaween additions for now.
Hulaween will always have an ideal lineup since that's what they are. LCD is streaming this weekend on Bonnaroo so I'm going to watch that (saw some of Coachella). Wishing Tribe vs Weeknd Friday but they are in Live Oak Friday, Tool unopposed Sunday (Puscifer Saturday???) and Arcade maybe headlines Saturday?

There's more decent undercard on here for me then the usual Voodoo lineup which completely drops after the sixth line. The real problem is the 2nd line. I'm shocked they didn't book MMJ, Disclosure and the Revivalists with them being in the area. If you add those three two of them make the second line look so much better. I'll probably go because I've never seen Arcade Fire or Tool. How much do tickets run?

100 pre sale, today will probably be 140/150 until they sell those and then they'll go up incrementally through October.
My very first thought is that the under card is week as hell, but when I consider that I would pay the $140 just to see Arcade Fire and Tool, it starts to look a shit load better.
Definitely check out Foals. They're my wife's favorite band and we've seen them twice this year. Great great live band. I'm also a big fan of Cage the Elephant and Band of Horses, so that works for me.
I'm mostly unfamiliar with the rest of the lineup but I'll look at that as a good thing. Plenty of new shit to check out over the next couple months.
dont think this is enoguh to get me to make the trip. If i was a Tool fan it might be different but could never get into them, although I appreciate how strong of a booking it is. Its sickending to see that 3,4,5 with Weaknd, Geasy and Chainmmokers.
And for those saying it's top heavy, that's likely on purpose as the headliners are what sell LOA(VIP) tickets. The older crowd who also buy VIP for their kids/family don't give a shit about "new" bands halfway down on the lineup.
Has anyone seen Band of Horses? I heard their live performance was really really weak.
I really like their music but the timing has just never been right for me to catch them live yet. I've heard extremely mixed reviews.
I saw them a couple of times. They're pretty good, but they tend to be chill, folk-country. It's not a highlight to me, but I'll probably stop by for a couple of songs.
I guess the 90's cheese act(s) are nixed by C3? Rehage used to bring one or two of them along for the ride.
Don't know or need to research (and if anyone has any thoughts or comments on any of these acts, let me know):
Melanie Martinez, Snakehips, Saint Motel, Nothing But Thieves, Oh Wonder, Chairlift, The Pretty Reckless, Lunice, NF, Bear Hands, All Them Witches, Lookas, Lost Kings, 4B, Cheat Codes, Slaves, Leon, Seratones, Cakes Da Killa, Little Scream, Sonny Alven, Kidd Love. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Rating of Top 20 Acts on Poster and How Much I would want to see them out of 0/10:
Tool - 10 Arcade Fire - 9 The Weeknd - 0 G. Easy - 5 The Chainsmokers - 0 Band of Horses - 5 Cage the Elephant - 8 Kevin Gates - 7 Die Antwoord - 4 Porter Robinson - 6 (will probably close plur one night) Carnage - 5 Foals - 8 Rebelution - 7 Excision - 8 Gramatik - 9 Ghost - 8 Tory Lanez - 6 STS9 - 10 Mutemath - 8 Puscifer - 10
Average comes out to 6.65 which isn't bad considering the 0's for Weaknd and Chainsmokers. Take them out and it's a 7.389 out of 10. I doubt anything but Waka would be at that level for me which is kind of surprising and likely leading to a better than expected weekend for me. Hopefully some of those acts I don't know end up being good. I've seen some people talking about All Them Witches, so maybe there is some good lower card I don't know about.

I think you'll dig All Them Witches, pretty good rollicking rock n roll
There is enough on the lineup to make me happy and actually buy a ticket this year. I mean, my investment is minimal outside of a ticket, food, and beer.
How did The Cocksmokers blow up so fast? That shit is so weak.
Band of Horses is okay. At DeLuna 2012 we all enjoyed them. I mean, they were great background music for our sketchy cuddlepuddle we had going on.
There's gotta be some decent higher tier adds to this. Ah well. At least we aren't waiting for the lineup anymore. As of right now I'm on the ropes.
Gonna wait for full lineup for this and Hulaween before I decide. I'll prob go to this out of convenience and nostalgia though as this will be ten years in a row and my 12th overall Voodoo.
$100 is a fucking steal for this. Even with G-Eazy and Chainsmokers on line 2.
Tool and Arcade Fire are great. I don't really mind the Weeknd. Throw in Puscifer, Claypool, Foals and that undercard, I would be there in a heartbeat if I lived close.
after the initial shock of seeing The Weeknd and the underwhelming second line it's actually a pretty good lineup, especially for the standard low ticket price. Actually its the best Voodoo undercard in the past few years. Not that the undercard is super great or anything, its just that recent Voodoo undercards have been so abysmal my expectations were really low. On this undercard there are numerous acts I'd at least be interested in seeing, as already listed many times by posts above this.
I still think if I hit a festival this weekend it will be hulaween though.

It's a no brainer for us locals to buy an early bird every year in December. People charging that much for 1 arena show now. And you get 3 with this...
2 hrs away ain't quite local, breaux, but yea, close enough.
When you can be home in bed by midnight sunday night for work the next morning that is indeed close enough. Also just realized Friday is a flex day at work for this weekend. score!
I actually thought The Chainsmokers put on a hellova show at Firefly last year. But... they were like the 22nd billed act on the lineup. Voodoo may be smaller and they make have gotten more popular but no way should they be that high. And WTF? Is G Easy really that popular?? I saw Die Antwoord last year, honestly I didn't get it. That set went completely over my head. I was in total "WTF is this?" mode. Porter is the man, he's one of the few "name" EDM acts that are actually worth the billing IMO. I'd be excited to see Foals and some of the others farther down the list as well.
It's easily worth $100 though. I wish I could come down this year if even just for Arcade Fire and Tool. And also because well, New Orleans is one of my favorite places ever.
Tool are the gods of buttrock. Ghost are pretty much the ICP of metal. Both are great live though.
There are some great buttrock acts just like there are some great "indie" acts. There just happens to be a ton of shitty ones below the lines. The location of the line is a matter of opinion.
Seems like they pulled together a decently strong rock lineup. The EDM is the shittiest portion of this line-up and even that has a lot of guilty pleasures.
