in other news I picked up a pair of Metallica fields today at a shockingly high price. About $188/apiece. Unreal, I'm such a sucker. But screw it, my wife has never seen Metallica and they are one of my all time favorites, so here we go.
Yeah, the prices for that show are outrageous. I've had terrible luck getting tickets lately so I'm looking for 2 to Radiohead and 1 or 2 to Midnight Oil.
Maybe Metallica knows something I don't but I have no idea how they expect to fill a stadium at those prices. Even the cheapest seats are like $70. I know they haven't toured the US since 2009.
Anyway I'm hoping they put on a big visual spectacular with those kind of prices. They typically don't disappoint when it comes to pyrotechnics and that kind of stuff.

I didn't know it had been that long. I'm sure it will sell out. Aren't they the biggest thing there is in black t-shirt nation?

My family and I are heading to ATL August 3rd to the 7th. I'm excited to visit your wonderful city! Is there anything going on that weekend we should be aware of? We got a airbnb in Virigina Highlands, but are wanting to see the whole city and find fun things to do in all the hip neighborhoods. Would love to see a show at the Fox too, but there doesn't seem to be anything going on that weekend. Any suggestions?

I didn't see this announced anywhere and just stumbled across it. Wyclef Jean is playing Terminal West on July 27. Tickets are around $30 after fees. I just bought tickets.

Think you'll go? I'm in for hearing Fugees music live any chance I get.
^^ My brother is down for Wyclef but I've just bought tix for Alt-j & LCD(are you going to either of those?) so I'm going to have to play it by ear for now...I remember the days when I saw music two or three nights a week and never paid more than $10 or $15. Now I'm routinely dropping $$$ for all this shiz!...Los Colognes tonight, $10!

For now I'm not doing Alt-J or LCD. I love them, but I've seen both a couple of times somewhat recently, and work/family means I need to only do shows that are pretty high up on my "Never seen" list. I'm only doing Roger Waters, Wyclef, John Mayer (with my wife who is a big fan), and Gorillaz for now.

Got my tickets for 2 nights of LCD!! I probably won't be going to many other concerts or festivals this year, I'll decide on Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Broken Social Scene, and Deer Tick later.

I think you should make the decision on BSS the next time you have $45 spare dollars. You don't want to miss that.

I'll probably go because I probably won't get to see them again for a long time. Of course every time I say that I'm wrong, but I think I'm right for real this time. Plus Frightened Rabbit is opening up for them on that date.

I don't know when this was announced but Hamilton Leithauser is playing Terminal West on Friday October 20th. I'll be there. Conveniently the day before LCD.
Washed out plays July 17th in Atlanta, just saw the first show on this tour in Charleston and the new album sounds really great live. Go see him, was really sad I missed seeing Washed out play Roo in 2014.
