If I were a music festival organizer, I'd "leak" Macklemore as a headliner a week before the lineup drops just so people were ECSTATIC when the actual lineup was Macklemore-free.

Alternatively, someone could be waiting for this lineup to make a decision between fests, see this leak and be upset. Then buy themselves a Wayhome ticket.
In addition to FEQ MTL Blog reporting that RHCP will headline Rockfest too. Gotta think they won't headline three festivals in one province in the same year.

I don't get the disdain Inforoo has for RHCP... Yeah, they lost Frusciante and Anthony's voice hasn't aged very well, but if you put together a list of their greatest hits (which comprise about 70% of their sets), it still makes for a really fun show.
Have people here seen them live? If so, specifically what offended you?
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I have nothing against them other than that they are an uninspired booking that hasn't released a new album in five years. There are certainly worse headliners, but it is just boring to see them pop up all the time.

I feel like I know the names of all 50 states pretty well by now, so having them repeated in song has little value.

I've never seen them so I wouldn't mind as much as others, but as you said, the most talented member of the band isn't with them anymore and they've hardly been relevant in the past decade. In fact, I didn't even realize they put out an album after stadium arcadiumn, so I'm gonna have to go listen to that.

I saw them in the nineties and know what I'm (they're) missing live show-wise these days. And everything they've released in the last decade has been soggy balls.
headliners will not RHCP as they are in Quebec City the week before. & headliner will not be Macklemore, he didn't have the jump that Kendrick had with his album. Im thinking Radiohead-LCD-and then a female-led band/singer.. Maybe SIA, or Alabama Shakes,

I agree that they're rather irrelevant these days, but as a "legacy" act that relies heavily on their back catalog anyway, I don't think that matters that much. If you've never seen them before but even remotely enjoy their music, I think you'd have a lot of fun at one of their sets.
Kind of out of nowhere, but any chance for The Tragically Hip to be in the top 5? They seem due for a festival cycle and haven't played here since 2011.
friend met Win in Toronto (all-star weekend) at dudebox party, Arcade is not happening at osheaga sadly. He did hint at a suprise show in montreal in the fall though
