Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Remember when Roo had really deep undercards like when they had Spoon at 17th and Run the Jewels at 37th?
Just out of curiosity, I went back to the 2013 and 2014 lineups to find which non-comedy non-superjam acts were billed 17th and 37th, respectively. Here are my findings:
2014: Disclosure (17th) and Cage the Elephant (37th) 2013: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (17th) and Foals (37th)
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Gonna play this game. Broken down into a couple different lists with the first three listed being for sure my 3 Most Excited For, but other than that, mostly just alphabetically listed. And I bolded the acts I've seen before.
Genuinely Excited For (23) LCDDDDDDD M83 Death Cab for Cutie
Allen Stone Blood Orange Big Grams Bully Cash Cat CHVRCHES Daughter FJM GoldLink Hundred Waters Jason Isbell Kamasi Washington Leon Bridges Miguel Pearl Jam Purity Ring Shamir Tame Impala Vince Staples Waxohatachee
Likely to Check Out, Barring Conflicts (24) Brett Dennen Beach Fossils BORNS Chris Stapleton Civil Twilight Givers Grace Potter Haim Halsey Mackles - I'm not against checking out his set, but I am almost positive there will be something else I'm much more enthused about seeing that conflcits, so I doubt I'll be there The Knocks Lord Huron - saw half their set at Landmark, not sure if that counts or not Lizzo Lucius The London Souls Two Door Cinema Club Marian Hill Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats RL Grime Sara Watkins St Lucia Twin Peaks Tyler the Creator Ween
Just Discovered Post-Drop But Already Digging (7) Anderson East Vulfpeck Andra Day FIDLAR Dungen Ilbeyi Hermitude
23 + 24 + 7 = not too shabby. There's definitely enough for me to like on here, so the negative feelings are just derived from the fact that 1) the bad is so shockingly bad; 2) the lack of impressive/rare gets is depressing, and 3) scheduling will surely be a bitch.

How can one be excited for Macklemore to perform his Bonnaroo 2013 set again? He'll probably steal another fur coat and wave a flag ang get everyone to jump. That Flosstrdomus video is horrendous

Just found out The Fat Jew and Four Loko are throwing a party here at a venue downtown and Dillon Francis is DJing it. Free entry and booze. I will just go to that and drink so much Four Loko that I think Flosstradamus is actually the one up there playing and I'm getting super "TURNT". I'll report back or die of liver failure.

I still have a can of the first blend Four Loko made. That shit was clearly drugs.

The changed it to the new formula my senior year of college. We went to the gas station and bought pallets of it and black market sold those at house parties on the weekends for $5 a pop! If you ever drank 2 of them it was guaranteed black out/bad things happen territory. Fun Fact: Four Loko was created by a bunch of OSU alumni #ProudAlumni

g a b f r a b would do terrible things to get his hands on that.
Everyone just chill...we're missing at least 7-8 acts including the headliners. If they just add the headliners then we must be getting a larger 2nd round of additions because it would mean they're reducing the amount of bands even more. Unless What is opening even later during the day this year, they're cutting late nights, or just reducing amount of acts in the tent...there still has to be a good amount of artists added to round out the lineup.
I could realistically see the existing lineup released on Tuesday with Pearl Jam, Dead & Co, LCD Soundsystem, Pretty Lights, and Beck with a copuple more 3-4th line acts being added and everyone will be much happier.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but this lineup isn't like a couple good acts away from greatness. You'd need double digits worth of truly special acts to elevate this lineup beyond "meh." So yeah, maybe if they add Beck and Sufjan Stevens and Kraftwerk and the Chemical Brothers and A Tribe Called Quest feat. the Roots and Hot Chip and Battles and Nico Jaar, we can talk. But I don't know that something like that is going to take place.
I think it would take a scenario where they are actually withholding the top six: LCD, PJ, Dead, ELO, Beck, Chemical Brothers. Then we get Bob Moses, Grimes, and Joey Badass as 3 of the 6 names added later. In this long shot scenario, I think Roo is back in business. Just imagine, now, how unlikely that would be.

1 loko was the worst heartburn I ever had. 2 lokos I was the walking dead. Ive been in 5 fights in my life, and 4 were in the span of Four Lokos first recipe in college party basements.

The second four loko was always a horrible life choice that I made a few times.
I mean, they suck but they're pretty popular. They had a big crowd at Lolla too.
Wow. I don't even know what to make of that honestly. That's pretty impressive. They BETTER not be the EDM headliner though, for the love of god. And I imagine they are the type of people that yell the entire time during their sets too

So I have been to two flosstradamus shows, and they're pretty fucking intense. Their songs are basically just hype music, and while it might not be the deepest show in the world, if you are in the right mindset, it's a pretty fucking fun show. Crazy amounts of mosh pits. I'm also 20 and in a fraternity so I guess take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I find it pretty funny how different the opinions are about the lineup on three different sites. I kind of agree with both sides as you expect something really special for the 15th, but it's hard in this crazy festival world to really please everyone.
I'm still on the fence overall as I'm def doing shaky knees in my hometown and may try to travel to see PJ once they announce it.
Ther are still plenty of great live bands and here is my not so short list... nothing blows me away but still plenty of good music...
