I was really excited about this year with the headliners and some of the other confirmations, but this is really lacking some pizzazz. Everything after the headliners, I've either seen already or is stuff that I'd like to see, but not stuff that I have to see. This plus how much more it's going to cost from the last time I went in 2014 is making what was a sure thing just hours ago into something that's now up in the air.
My gut says we are going to be surprised in a week. This is far from everyone.
i dunno.. i think we're only 5 acts down from last year, and if we assume that LCD, pearl jam and Dead and co are locks, then its only 2. hopefully they're adding more acts this year though

There's more to be announced, besides the headliners, I can feel it. This lineup is shit, and Bonnaroo knows better. I'd rather go to any other festival ATM, which is a shame because I love Roo.
i really like oh wonder's album from this year. it is a bit slower and downtempo though, so they were never a band I wanted or expected to be on the bonnaroo lineup.

Assuming that the headliners are Pearl Jam, Dead & Co., and LCD...when you add a lot of these undercards, I am pretty happy with the lineup.
Of course, it would be nice if there were some surprises during the official drop next Tuesday, or if there were some extra additions, but I am excited with what we have.
I mainly wish that Hall and Oates or Huey Lewis & The News were on the lineup to fill the slot of big 80s acts. It was really cool to see Lionel Richie in 2014 and Tears for Fears in 2015

Third eye blind is utter shit... i'm dissapointed if that's the throwback we're getting this year

I think there's a handful of names/acts they can include but in general this is the majority of our initial lineup. There'll be a few additions, cafe acts, and comedians/movies added but I don't think there's enough surprises up their sleeve to knock people's socks off.

It's ok, disappointing for Roo though imo. I think GovBall and Sasquatch both have clearly superior lineups at this point.
Bonnaroo has the best headliners of the 3, but Sasquatch definitely has the best undercard. Gotta disagree with with on Gov's Ball, that one's pretty weak from top to bottom.

It's not shit, it's average.
LCD Kamasi Washington Death Cab For Cutie Father John Misty Haim Tyler the Creator
It's so average I can't even stand it. Another five or six artists would shape it up nicely.
Kamasi will be scheduled when 3 of the other most-wanted acts are.
I thought you were the optimist here...
I'm being very cynical right now because I've been swayed and to be honest, the people who know more about ALL music seem to be in agreement. I know what I like but I can't be used as a gauge for what's fresh/exciting/upcoming.
I've agreed that hip hop and heavy music is lacking. So is the "WTF? I never expected that" type of act as well as any special/unique sets. So until the FINAL lineup comes out I'm fine with talking a bit of trash. I know I'll love Roo still but it definitely is not impressive when comparing to others

Shit....even the Mountain Jam lineup wowed me more than the initial Bonnaroo lineup and that's a significantly smaller festival.
there is a lot in the undercard that I enjoy, but nothing other than M83 that I have never seen/am dying to see. blerg.
with most likely having an internship this summer, plus my best friends weddin. The weekend before roo... fuck. I need to figure out what I want to do.
