With Mavis Staples out for the Dylan tour.. can we get a petition going for Erykah Badu.. there aren't any tour reasons for a no, just assumptively $ and stage timing

Didn't realize Mavis dropped out and now I'm really sad unless they replace her with someone even better. Hopefully I'll get another chance to see her this summer, even if it means seeing Bob
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
Unfortunately on the Dolly chatter, Mavis wasn't high enough on the lineup for a foreseeable jump to Dolly Parton level booking. While I'm down - realistically expect a soul or R&B singer replacement that can still hold the What Stage. I have been mostly assuming she would be an afternoon What Stage set - and I hope they are able to replace it with another amazing singer and not just fill space.

Charles Bradley or Lake Street Dive would probably fit the bill, and both are free. Bradley has a date in Nashville in May, but Lake Street Dive don't have a TN date on their tour and are in NC and VA Friday and Saturday. Kind of weird tour routing, but it could still work out for them to play a What or Which set on Sunday.

I was thinking Sharon Jones.
She is on tour with Hall and Oates in the NE during 'roo.

If I had to guess, we would get 3 adds at the most. Sadly, we are pretty close to the daily totals from 2015.
We're close to the totals of last year's by day lineup. At that point, they still hadn't added club acts like Bear's Den, Raury, Rubblebucket, Kaleo, Son Little, etc. OR D'Angelo and Kacey Musgraves. I wouldn't lose hope yet.

when I talk about adds, I'm inly talking about main act additions. We will still get some comedy, cafe, etc...but as for the main lineup, we are basically set. We will be lucky if we get couple extra like late additions, but no one should expect 15+ additions because reality says it's not going to happen

Is future just too be to be an addition at this point?
He's just got a big opening right before Roo and it doesn't seem like tickets are flying. Would make a step in the right direction righting the lack of rap.

just seems like too big of an add. the adds over the past few years haven't been at that midcard/sub HL level. if there was ever a year to add a bigger name this is it, but I don't see it happening.
Would love Esperanza Spalding - only issue being that they seem to be in a Japan -> Europe swing in the Bonnaroo timeline. But the hole is big enough to dream.
