I'm sorry if this has been answered, I've been trying to look for it. But how many artists are we thinking will be added. I keep seeing people say on Facebook and Instagram that we should be getting a second wave cause there's only like 96 artists on the lineup compared to like 130-150 in the other years. I know a lot will be like the cafe acts and smaller acts, maybe 2 big name or even non at all and I'm not expecting a second wave. But also has Bonnaroo ever done like a second wave of artists ever not just like some additions but like they purposely kept a bunch off and revealed a bunch later like some other festival tend to do? Just curious.

It's safe to assume all of the artists they announced will be tent/stage acts. They usually don't announce the cafe and smaller acts till later. With that being said, that's about the same amount of artists that played the tents/stages last year. Also we've been making a ton of mock schedules at this point and the only day that even seems to have to room for additions would be Saturday...maybe Sunday. Just based off how the schedule was last year. So yeah those 130-150 artists are with the cafe acts and all of the comedians included.
With that being said...it may be like last year where we get one really awesome addition and two other decent ones (D'Angelo, Kacey Musgraves, and Songhoy Blues) orrrrr we may not get any additions at all. That's entirely possible. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get one decent artist addition, but I'm not expecting anything

With Mavis Staples dropping out to tour with Dylan; I would expect a least one modest round of additions. I don't know if we get a heavy hitter the lines of D'Angelo - but there is some hope that they will fill out that (assumptive) What Stage act with a comparably quality performer

Or just move up the start time on the What Stage by 30 minutes and give Ween 2 hours (if they do play the What Stage before Dead & Company)

It's a possibility. But I would be more inclined to believe that was "true" if she had dropped out of the lineup closer to the fest. Sure, AC/e-LN could just pocket the money and call it a day - but seems like a waste when so many people have been whining about the weakness of lines 2-4 on the lineup. Mind you, I don't know shit either

I believe that they still might be trying to book some decent artist additions. But I also believe they just might not be able to book anything major for reasons out of their control.
We are not getting a huge list of additions...my guess is 5 at the most. That would be in line with the total main stage / tent totals over the last couple of years.

There's something that bothers me about the Bryson Tiller addition. I don't dislike his music but it feels like if they're gonna book mainstream urban acts this isn't where they should have started.
EDIT: I guess you could say Miguel is where they started, idk. Not excited about the additions though

I'm not surprised, I don't get the direction Bonnaroo is going in.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Tame Impala and Blood Orange Friday, Miguel and the Superjam Saturday. If the schedule permits I would absolutely love that. Hopefully there's more non-late-night additions

I feel like Bonnaroo late night used to be downright magical. Great artists, the chance for a legendary set if you were in the right place at the right time...
Tame Impala has that chance this year. And maybe the Superjam, maybe.
But jesus, how depressing. Even last year was miles better in the late night department.
2015 late night:
FRIDAY
Deadmau5 STS9 Flying Lotus Earth Wind & Fire Medeski, Scofield, Martin, & Wood Odesza Run the Jewels
SATURDAY
