With the lack of late night on Saturday, anyone think Pearl Jam will start really late and they'll have both Ellie Goulding and Macklemore on the What Stage beforehand? So then no Which LN, Superjam gets its own tent, and then the other tents get two acts.
that would push Pearl Jam into "LN" territory, and I'm sure Bonnaroo would make a big deal out of Pearl Jam playing LN.
Having said that Saturday's best hope for redemption is a monster length rocking Pearl Jam set.

This was kind of my thought too could easily see the What schedule being Macklemore (6:00-7:15) >>> Ellie (8:15-9:30) >>> Pearl Jam (10:30-1). Everything could even be pushed back a little with Pearl Jam starting at 11 like Mumford last year, they wouldn't be billed as "Late Night" even though it essentially would be.
i guess I'm going to see tame impala after all unless these paltry (in number at least) additions really grow on me fast. Only 5 late night acts on Saturday seems crazy even with Pearl Jam playing a full show with multiple encores. if the superjam isn't something great I really don't know what I'm going to go do that night. That's very disappointing and I've been decidedly on the positive end of the Inforoo spectrum re: this year in general.
Sleep to get ready for 5-6 hours of dead n Co the next day.

Gotcha, I would be OK with this. Even better if RL Grime could start at 1:30 or 2:00am so I could catch some of him. I just hope Bonnaroo sprinkles the few other interesting Saturday acts throughout the day rather than cramming them all between 8pm and 10pm.
We got Bob Moses. Bonnaroo 2016 is better today than it was yesterday.
However, we did lose Mavis Staples. So we aren't any better off since the lineup came out.
Bob Moses is playing during Tame Impala (probably)
I'm honestly seeing Bob Moses getting the Darkside treatment. They'll be in a tent starting pretty much after everyone else has, and there will be like 50 people there...and it'll be awesome.
There has been a long history of Which closers not overlapping with the headliner. There is still a chance.
I guess that's what I mean by overlap though. M83 finishing and LCD starting immediately after - that's enough of a conflict for me to forgo M83. I'd rather get pit for LCD than see M83 and be God knows how far away for LCD.
I know - that's my exact stance too. Even if m83 *technically* doesn't overlap with LCD, I am obviously gonna have to skip their set in order to get LCD pit if it ends right as LCD goes on. Which sucks a lot.
If neither M83 or CHVRCHES are Friday late night, which one is closing down Which though? I had been assuming that one would close it down and the other would get LN.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Mumford & Sons did start at 11:00 last year though. Of course that was after the first schedule change.

I don't care where Bob Moses are going to be because regardless that is where I will be...dancing my ass off.
Also, I find it really hard to support any festival that booked all of the following: Macklemore, Halsey, Sam Hunt, X Ambassadors, Goldlink, The Chainsmokers, Post Malone and Bryson Tiller.
Never heard of Bryson, but this dude is just a D-grade Weeknd.
I also have passionate opinions about artists I'd never heard of until 5 minutes ago.
I tried to get through "TRAPSOUL".. but.
Though I'm sure there are tons of pop-hoppers who will enjoy this LN. I'm over this weird push for trap-pop R&B layered over with mixtures of auto-tuning and computer laid synths (by that I mean generic ass sweeps, all on DAW recorded).
With that.. I'm also not surprised by the LN set-up.. was hoping The Internet would end up being a LN ... and not to be a piss ant, but holy shit, stop "feeling genuinely bad for us" because no one needs your fucking pity.

CHVRCHES on what before J. Cole. Same spot as Alabama Shakes last year. I've been saying it all along

Ah okay yes - makes sense.
Hmm then I guess I'll get to catch CHVRCHES and then suffer through J Cole while standing in pit line for LCD, all while missing M83.
Unless the pit line is nearly empty (definitely a possibility), in which case I'll quickly bounce over to the first half of M83 before running back over to What.

Nah, Bob Moses is definitely the last act in a tent, very late, just like Darkside was. Tame Impala will be on Which right after the headliner.
Ehh, still sucks I'll have to choose between Tame Impala and Blood Orange probably. I'd rather see Blood Orange than Bob Moses. Conflicts wouldn't be anything to make a big deal out of for me at a fest like FYF where I want to see everything and expect them. It hurts with this lineup when there are only a few acts I'm truly excited to check out.

yup top comment was in reply to trying to judge a new artist. 2nd comment is that I'm tired of patronizing bullshit and don't have the patience to tag him anymore.
This is just so disappointing. There's no way I'd pay money for a ticket to this year's Bonnaroo
To each their own. I said I wasn't going back after wasting money on VIP last year unless all the old fucks decided to do an old time hippie thing in the future or if there were HL acts I wanted to see (ala 2012). Also I prefer Wakarusa x 10. But alas Pearl Jam is playing, and I've never seen any incarnation of Grateful Dead, friends or relations. So those acts alone may make it worthwhile for me to go. It's gonna be GA as I won't ever do Bonnaroo VIP again unless someone buys me a ticket. The only value was check-in and line privileges.
A lot of people down here are pretty excited about this year and someone asked me while I was typing this reply if I was going and needed a ride. To be sure, there is a kwackload of acts I have zero interest in seeing. But there are probably 30 or so I either want to see or want to see again. So I can make it work especially since I'm 98% ditching Hangout this year, Waka is on hiatus and I will not have my fix of summer rock festivals. I'm going count acts I know that I have more than a 5 out of 10 interest in seeing. I counted 29, most of whom I have seen, and maybe an additional 5-10 I would like to check out that people brag on here on Inforoo.
Well like, thats your fault for even going to Bonnaroo this year.
Well, now you have me asking myself why am I really going to Roo. It just feels like tradition. I may have to reconsider and start checking prices for flights to LA. I should have a place to stay there so that would lighten the financial load. It would probably end up cheaper than Roo. I do wanna see Dead and Co. though and Roo just seems like a great place to do so.

I'm actually kind of happy that there isn't a whole lot of late night options. Means there won't be as many conflicts. I want to see Tame Impala and Blood Orange on Friday and Miguel, Big Grams, and Superjam Saturday
2014 late night was brutal, I was so worried Friday was gonna end up with everything I wanted to see after midnight. Should make for an awesome day Friday with FIDLAR and Shamir with presumably early afternoon sets, Tyler, Vince Staples, Purity Ring in the evening, M83 and LCD later, then Tame Impala and Blood Orange LN. I'd be satisfied

I'm also kind of pleased there won't be as many late-night conflicts for me. Usually, I'm gnashing my teeth right about now, but not this year. For Friday night, Tame Impala's a must see for me, then either Blood Orange or Bob Moses. Two of the three might conflict, but not all three. For Saturday, I'm thinking Big Grams and the Super Jam. I understand the negativity about this year's lineup on the board, but I'm not sharing it. There's still plenty for me to see pretty much every day. And after today, I no longer have to worry about M83 and Tame Impala conflicting. If anything, it might be M83 into LCD Soundsystem, which would make for a near perfect segue as far as I'm concerned.
