Last night I dreamed Dead and Co. cancelled last minute so My Morning Jacket came last-minute and beat their 2008 record. I can't decide whether it was a nightmare or a happy dream

If you're gonna dream about someone around the top cancelling, make it J Cole, Mackelmore, or Ellie Goulding.

It is a little of both. I mean, I LOVE MMJ, so them playing would be awesome (even if I just saw them recently and at Bonnaroo last year) but I really want to see the Dead and Co, so them canceling is a nightmare. I guess it would be a happy ending either way, in a sad kind of way.
I was considering checking them out before heading over to Dead & Company. Sunday is going to be mellow.
Same. No need to rush to dead for me.
I want to be there for the start of Dead & Company, but I'm not looking for a spot up close, so I should be good leaving Who Stage 15 minutes before they start. If the crowd is as thin as expected and people also avoid the closer to start the trip home early, I can probably still get up to the front easy if I choose to. I don't think it will be worthwhile for me to just drop in for a partial Ween set following Lettuce and Sam Bush was the only other set I was looking at during that time. Thanks for the reminder. I might just catch Swim Deep. I had forgotten about some of the acts I checked out clips from and liked but were ruled out by the schedule.

Unfortunately I'm thinking the crowd for Dead & Co will be tiny, but hopefully enthusiastic. Could be the smallest headliner crowd ever.
The plus is I don't think any of us will have difficulty getting a good spot. Hell after I leave Ween I'm going to at least try for pit.
Ending of ween vs the start of dead and company is honestly such a painful conflict.
Would have been nice to see Ween get a late night.
i'd love to blame bonnaroo for this one, and it very well could be their fault. but it seems so obvious to give ween a late night slot, that i have to think the reason they aren't playing one is because they didn't want to. or for some reason their schedules would only allow them to play on Sunday.
but even if they had to be on Sunday, I'd much prefer they were in a tent. ween is such a specific band with a specific fanbase, i think they'd benefit from the more intimate setting.
but fuck it. i get to see my #2 favorite band of all time for the first time in years, i'll take 'em wherever i can get them.
it's a beautiful night for a walk on the beach wouldn't you say?

I don't think I've ever listened to Ween. I plan to go into to their set blind and enjoy myself.

You won't be disappointed.
Ya, for whatever reason I've never listened to them. But enough people who's musical opinions I trust/respect are excited about it, that I think I'd be foolish to miss it.
Add in the fact that they're one of only 2 crossover bands from Levitation and it's a no brainer for me (Dungen being the other).
And I like weird, and it seems Ween has that in spades.
I think going in completely blind could be fun too.

A band told me after their show that they just got added to Bonnaroo but I had to promise them that I would not tell Anyone! What do ya do in this situation it is killing me. I told them I would be front row & I don't think it will be that easy.
Would they be a stage/tent act or a cafe act? Genre? How new of a band?

I won't get my hopes up. Gov Ball had a spot on their schedule for a surprise guest. I'd imagine Roo would do the same. Especially when they're struggling with ticket sales. Could still happen, and I'll be wildly excited if it does, but I doubt it.
