Wasteland? Thursday is the most conflicted day for me. Most of them I may have never heard of before this but I have at least 4 or 5 after listening that are basically must see shows.
Con Brio bruh
From that mock here are all the Thursday acts id be interested in. *are new bands
Con Brio is freaking fantastic. I really hope some of these are spread out throughout the weekend. Last years Thursday was too stacked, especially for the closers and it would be a shame to have to choose again this time around
The floozies, vulfpeck, cymande, the knocks, and Goldlink are some I've discovered from the lineup I liked so far. Especially Vulfpeck and Cymande.
Vulfpeck will be a fun show, how can you not start dancing around to that Christmas in LA song. I'll be giving Cymande an extended listen today but have liked what I've heard so far.
Swedish Chef totally agree Bully would be an awesome Thursday act. Not familiar with twin peaks but I'll give them a spin.

I really enjoyed Twin Peaks' last album (Wild Onion), and they were great at Firefly last year.

Fingers crossed for Fidlar on Thursday. I was watching some live videos last night, noticed their drummer was wearing a Twin Peaks shirt....I would be pretty stoked for Twin Peaks -> Fidlar on Thursday.
It's really impossible to not have conflicts with how weak the lineup is. There are a few high profile time slots and only a handful of acts that make sense in those spots.

Doesn't really make sense if you're saying the lineup is weak though. The lineup being weak would mean less names you would want to see and more names you wouldn't want to see therefore the conflicts would decrease. I think I did math right, albeit I am 24 yrs old and just barely got a D in pre-calc so it wouldn't surprise me if my math was off.

I agree entirely, if this Thursday is that stacked I'm gonna have to miss alot. May I also recommend checking out Dungen, cool psychedelic rock group, like a Danish Tame Impala or some shit.
That schedule just makes the lineup all the more depressing. Thursday is a wasteland.

Thad why I usually never check out the unknown bands before going to festivals. I don't want to create more conflicts
Of course, this year the leak is so weak I have to check them out lest I have nothing to enjoy

Maybe I worded my statement wrong...what I'm trying to say is there's not a ton of mid-tier acts that can hold down tent closing spots, which/what stage spots, and also late night shows. It forces all of the available mid-tier talent, what there is of it at least, into spots that conflict with each other.

Yeah that makes more sense. Completely understandable now. Hoping that's not the case.

"This year's stage lineup features John Moreland, Sara Watkins, The Wood Brothers, Steep Canyon Rangers, and Sam Bush Band, culminating in an all-star jam..." There's my Sunday That Tent mock.

I'm honestly surprised not that many mocks have been done yet.
Only people that are excited are rookies, and rookies don't make mocks
I am extremely excited about the lineup and I have clearly (based on our profiles) been a member of Inforoo longer than you, so I am not a rookie. But thanks for the generalization.

Maybe a dumb question, but can someone clarify Dead and Company 2 sets? I mean they always play 2 sets when they play...why is it listed that way. When Phish played in 09 they played 2 shows and it was listed on the bill as two shows...1 show on two different days.... will dead and company play 2 days...or just one day...if just one day why the need to list it as two sets unless...they play a set at one time slot and than another at another time slot?

It means 2 shows, not 2 sets with an intermission.
Probably Friday night or pre LCD + Sunday closer ALA phish 09.

You sure about that? Pretty sure it just means a standard two set show on one night.

Actually you could be completely right, and I wouldn't put it past them to eff it up that way as well.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if it was two different shows and two different nights, would make me a lot more likely to attend. I remember having this discussion about Phish in 2012 though and it just ended up being the standard two set show on Sunday. Can't remember exactly how Phish was initially billed.

I wasn't there in '12 but I was for '09 and I sort of recall them billing it as "2 shows" not "2 sets"
Yeah, it's one show, two sets... Probably on Friday night. They'll get billed a 1.5 hour slot, a fifteen minute break, and then another 1.5 hour slot and go 30 minutes past their scheduled time
