In a way the storm made the night more memorable and therefore may have been a good thing. Have some pretty funny memories involving the storm.
The storm was indeed one of the [only] highlights of the evening; when you're saying "my fave part of that day at the music festival was the part where we all got stormed out of the fest grounds and fucked around back at camp til we were allowed to return," you know the festival's lineup that day must've been a STRUGGLE BUS.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Potter > Stapleton > maybe Beach Fossils > Clutch or Rateliff > Claypool Lennon > PJ > Superjam
It could be worse.
Even if you like all these bands that still leaves multiple hours of dead time.
Last time I went to Calling, I spent the entire Sunday at one stage until the headliner.
The gaps in the action kinda suck, but they are also a good opportunity to hit the beer tent or get food or go to the bathroom and not really miss anything.
And considering the reviews, I'd like to amend my earlier schedule plan to PJ > Miguel > Big Grams (if still awake)

it was cool that it basically became a free for all of people bringing in entire cases of beer and boxes of wine after that.
This is one of the memories I was referring to. Witnessing people with fucking 24 packs under their arms coming into Centeroo had me giggling for a while. Ran back to camp and grabbed everything I could carry to get back in after seeing that.

Neither Claypool Lennon nor Lamb of God being scheduled LN was trash scheduling.
i didn't leave centeroo either, but i dropped some change at the beer tent, made friends with the dudes from Ole Shed (tullahoma, TN brewery) and when they kicked us out of there I sat in the Relix tent in the merch and drank pints from Ole Shed we smuggled in. the rain delay was better than most of the rest of the afternoon, tbh.
The late night stinks but The Internet > Steve Gunn > BOH > Haim > Claypool > PJ wouldn’t be the worst. Still a stinker though.
I'll jump on the 2016 train. I remember this being made worse because Syd's voice or The Internet's sound/mix was screwed up, but that Internet set was kinda of a let down for one of the highlights that day. Similarly, there were like 4 people at Steve Gunn and that was also a bummer. I waited with a good friend through Oh Wonder to get rail for Claypool Lennon Delirium and now totally regret leaving when the "storm" came, but we thought it was actually going to be a storm and were obedient and lost our spot. I also expected Pearl Jam to play for 3 hours or however long they wanted, and drunk Eddie seemed off his game; and then they only played two because of the storm. Idk. I really enjoyed Friday and Sunday that year, but Saturday was absolute trash and probably the first time I remember being bored/unhappy at a music festival.
2014 though. That was some shit. Just remember sprinting from Jack White to Frank and then ending up in the middle of the good good at Darkside and then somehow (with all phones dead) finding a good friend and saying why the hell not to Kaskade and eating donuts til sunrise. Damn, I miss Roo.

We did literally the exact same thing and we gave up rail to go back to our campsite... in Pod 10. Once they announced the all clear and we spent the 20 or so minutes walking back we were barely inside the tent for CLD

I tried to get the energy up and get a mosh pit going when CLD started but it wasn't happening. Left about halfway through to see LoG play their hits. Saw some teeny bopper girl twerk sarcastically (?) to LoG, so that was funny.
We were at What stage on the front row of the rail behind Roll Like a Rockstar. We got there early enough to catch Chris Stapleton and then Band of Horses. Halfway through Macklemore came the evacuation. We stayed as long as we could and then were made to leave. We hung out right near Church Boners and sprinted back in and ended up one row behind where we were. The peeps in front of us finished the Macklemore set and then turned to us and were like you guys can have our spots, we’re headed out. All in all not too shabby!
