Does anyone know if there will be any lineup additions. I can't remember since I've never been but could swear they always have additions?
I'm pretty sure they said on social media last month to expect artist additions "soon."
Cool I honestly couldn't remember but felt like every year I saw pretty good additions for them. Being my first home going excited to see who else is gonna be playing since the lineup is already pretty great.
Bonobo is going to be one of the artist additions later on. He accidentally posted on his IG about a month ago the date for LIB and subsequently took it down, took off the date, before re-uploading. A redditor spotted it.
What is the crowd normally like? Is it safe to expect a bunch of HS idiots shoving their way to the front of shows right when they start? Or are the people more laid back?
I personally haven't encountered any idiots in my 4 years there. There will be times where you'll get really squished (especially if you're waiting for a rap act) just based on the sheer number of people all wanting to get closer. But as far as "bros" and breezebags are concerned, it's one of the more laid back festivals around.

I have a feeling 30 Seconds to Mars are gonna be added, too. They are touring with Muse this summer and both Muse and the other opener for that tour (PVRIS) are playing this.

Nice catch also nice to hear about the fest. First fest also that I'm doing VIP for so pretty excited. Also had been thinking 30 seconds to mars almost is guaranteed to play from that too. Not super exciting addition but they do put on a good show. Honestly hoping with all the Gorillaz features Danny Brown is a addition as well.

Any experience with staying away from downtown? We are looking to stay at the Wynn, but Im not sure how reliable cabs are, and how expensive they will be. I know ubers will be out of control though...
I stayed at Ballys when I went in 2015. There's a shuttle that brings you there and back that has multiple stops. The shuttle I used picked us up at the Linq which is pretty close to the center of the strip. Worked perfectly fine each day.

Why not just stay downtown? The bars on Fremont East are usually packed after the fest lets out, and the music is a 1000% better than what you'll hear at the clubs on the strip. You can get a room at Golden Nugget for $262/night during the fest. The pool there is fantastic, and comparable to larger properties on the strip.
If you're determined to stay on the strip you could always just take the Deuce bus downtown, for $2 each way. I'm sure it'll be quite busy with the fest going on though.

My wife and cousin have never been to Vegas before, so we were going to try and get the whole staying on the strip experience as well as the festival/downtown experience, but its looking like its going be a pretty major headache staying away from downtown. Especially after the fest is over each night trying to get back. Think were going to be going with the Downtown Grand. My wife refuses to stay at the Golden Nugget since its owned by Tilman Fertita. He owns the Aquarium restaurants around the US that have the tigers in the tiny indoor exhibits... She won't spend a penny there (or let me spend a penny there)...She's the boss!
More reason to think 30 Seconds to Mars are getting added - they're playing the iHeartRadio festival in Vegas that same weekend.
So why would they be added then?
Theres a few Life is Beautiful acts playing there as well. They're coming all the way to Vegas to play 12 minutes a iHeart, seems logical to do another show while they're there.

Only going the Sunday and its not bad scheduling wise. Nice to see the xx and gorillaz go back to back. Shocked to see Dua Lipa go on so late. She was one of the first on the main stage at gov ball.

Friday my only major conflict is chance and blink but probably gonna roll with blink for the most part and catch some of the end of chance since I saw the first half of his set at hangout. Saturday is all kinds of conflicts. And Sunday for the most part is pretty easy for who all I want to see.

My biggest conflicts are Blink vs. Chance, Cage vs. Tycho, and The xx vs. Haim.
Blink's one of my favorite bands but I've seen them 14 times in my life, plus I kinda hate this new era with Skiba. Plus all my friends are gonna wanna see Chance.

To offer a different opinion, there was nothing special about The XX's show at Coachella. It was fine, I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you enjoy their music.

as someone who doesn't claim to be a big xx fan, i completely disagree. I only knew a couple of their hits and they kinda blew me away at coachella (W1). To each their own though.

I've never seen blink so and did catch half of chance and same one of my favorite bands so I can't miss them but may cut out a little early to still catch some of chance. Really hate they're the same time. The xx I'm not a huge fan but from what I've heard can't wait to see them and glad they didn't conflict with Gorillaz
