quacker and I said we would not do a 2cnd OBH at the same place, and we should really skip the expense... then the line up comes out and you see who all is going and its all.. well maybe.. cheapest room this year is 1500 per person, courtyard 1800.. X 2 .. But it is a private concert with 2498 of your closest friends and priceless memories..

They have the in-room liquor dispenser, but I don't think we really used it all that often. There is literally a bar around every corner, and there are people walking around the shows handing out beers and margaritas left and right. The only time we used it was for the super late night parties in the big kinda-hot tub.

Gotta convince the wife to go back. She convinced me the first year by getting me drunk and pulling out the credit card. We shall see if that works for me this year.
Gonna be graduating and probably moving cross country around the new year, so I may need every extra penny. Should have taken better advantage of the year off and stashed more dough.
This is exactly how I convinced my husband to go the first year. Much pricier than my normal drunk purchases of pizza/random things off Amazon, but we're both glad it happened!

Does this selll out? If so, how quickly? I think I have the boyfriend on board but prob won't be able to buy tix right away. This sounds amazing!!
It's only happened twice before, and the band has gotten awfully popular in the pat two years, so it's hard to say. The first year it sold out close to the date. Last time it sold out in October.
This year, they are doing a presale for those who have been once, twice, or both. That number of people by itself is more than the capacity of 2500. Anecdotally, of the 100-ish people I know who have gone, most are planning on going again. So, while this is nothing like previous years, i predict a sellout within 48 hours.

Debating which room type to grab, granted choices are available still, anyone have any recommendations based on location of any of the buildings or having a sky terrace etc? I have heard the walk from any building to the stage is not too bad but wanted more opinions and if anyone preferred the Heaven side over Hacienda or vice versa. Thanks in advance

Hacienda = children, heaven = no children The really cool waterslide-mini mountain and the superbowl beach are in Hacienda Bld 1 in heaven - some times felt like a lonnng walk, other times no big deal we found it to be really quiet down in blds 1 and 2... had its good and not so good.. very few spontaneous neighbor chats, hang outs
Sky terrace - ours was not near the music so it was not used much at all - our terrace was on the floor above our room.. we ended up using the balcony on the same floor as the living space
In hindsight, unless you can pay the big bucks for concert front.. just get a room that meets the sleep need and here's the REALLY important part... make sure someone in your crew scores concert courtyard, ground floor if at all possible. It was awesome to have a 'home base' every night (thanks to two great folks here!!) to leave your stuff, be able to hang back now and then in the grass, have a place to p, hang out with friends in between shows.
We had a waiter or two that we tipped well from day one and there after he(s) would come find us at the meet up spot, get chairs, drinks, bottles of wine, whatever. One even came and found me on the rail and said - madam.. your big ass sippy cup empty, give it to me. 10 minutes later -delivered full of captain and diet. Didn't have to ask or move. PS - Bring big ass sippy cups!! (you can buy them at job lots, big lots, dollar stores for a buck or three. I could have easily sold mine 10 times over for $5 or more. )
Get Whatsapp or the like for free group texting for meet ups. I do little day by day journals for all trips. Remind me again in November and I'll reread it for tips.
quacker and I are going to decline this year. We've done a lot of traveling, big trips the last 2-3 yrs and need to cool our jets for just a bit.

You're a tease.
But I understand and thanks for the tips! I am pretty sure that I am just going to do a basic room now. stillwater did you say something about getting a nice room? I remember someone talking about that this weekend.
