We are staying the sunrise section of moon palace. Basically stage left with an ocean view. So happy. Jacket brought out trey tonight for the encore of rocket man, can’t you hear me knockin, and maghettah. So far 10/10
If you aren't busy at 2pm today (Thurday), stop by your Sunrise Pool. A bunch of my nearest and dearest will be there for a little surprise "Love Shower". Two of my friends, Alex and Rebecca are getting married in June and her wedding shower has fallen through so far, so Alex has asked the One Big Family folks to meet at the Sunrise Pool for a love shower to cheer her up. If you need people to hang out with for the rest of the fest, look no further. These are some fine folks. If you can get ahold of Alex, tell him Angie sent you and stick around. Alex and Rebecca and Scott and Sarah are two of my favorite couples in all of the land. They will all be together this weekend. But anyone you meet at that get together by the pool will be awesome.
That’s awesome! My wife and I will for sure head over there. Thank you! I haven’t seen any kind of “treasure map” indicators around but I’ll keep an eye out for them. This place is enormous. I did run into the guy from black pumas last night at washed out. He bumped my fist. Felt pretty cool

Very awesome. This whole experience is pretty surreal. I’m sure I’ll type up more later but it’s going to be hard to re-adjust after this.
Is Pensacola the most cost effective nearby airport? Tried researching options out of DC or Raleigh last night and wasn’t finding any prices I loved for that weekend

That area is a big vacation spot for a lot of people I went to HS/College with, and every time I have gone I've just driven. But there's small airports in Destin/Ft. Walton and Panama city beach and when I was looking at flights from Arizona a couple years ago the prices were much lower than I was expecting, but ymmv obv.
Was initially pretty excited about this until I heard the pricing. $1400 for 2 (music only) and $2400 for 2 with accommodations. Food and drink not included.
Crazy it’s almost as expensive as the Hardrock resort the past couple of years. Openers will need to be killer for this to be a serious consideration for us.

This seems like such a weird convoluted thing and not really comparable to previous OBHs. You’re not even staying on the same grounds as the venue? Like you rent a nearby condo?

I signed up for the pre-sale, but I don't think we're gonna pull the trigger.
My friend has a condo about a mile away from the venue, but the 'music only' pass for 4 people would be almost 700/person (if i understand their pricing correctly) is insane for a 3day run. $1000/person with accommodations is still pretty steep when we paid like $1250/person for the resort stay with food/drinks included (and 4 days of music). Seems like it's price incentivized to buy to accommodations. We'd still save some money by driving, but I was pricing the 4 day Fillmore run in SF and my wife and I could have done that way more cost efficiently than this.
Mrs. J and I are IN for OBH 2025! It's our first OBH, so we have nothing to compare it with- and it's refundable until November 1st if we have second thoughts. This venue has experience hosting similar events, which gives us a sense of comfort that it'll go smoothly.
Is it too soon to start hoping for a performance of the full "Z" for its 20th anniversary?
