pretty bummed I can't make it this year, too much going on with new baby on the way, graduating, and getting a job.
but if ya'll see any posters for sale from the first year (2014) I'd happily pay you back for it. If it is one of the silent auction items I can let you know what my budget is.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Trust me, it's another frigid day here in Ohio: I'm excited. Like all caps EXCITED! By the way, is anyone on here doing any of the fest excursions? We stayed an extra day last time and then took one through the resort, to Xel-Ha. That enabled us to use our resort credits, and we didn't have to worry about being worn out for the shows. I think we're going to do the same this time. ...

I haven't thought too seriously about excursions, but I did just read through them. Isn't there supposed to be a scuba diving excursion? I only saw mention of snorkeling. I didn't think about the credits. An excursion would be a good use of them...
A few of us are staying a few extra days, but we're headed to Tulum. We're not doing extra days at the resort.

Im using my resort credits on massages, upgraded wine and golf. (you can book your spa appointments already through the Hard Rock)
Damn. Someone mentioned it somewhere, and I was kinda counting on it. I haven't been in years, and I would probably be solo for it, so an excursion would be perfect.
My current plan is basically yours. Minus golf. F that. Deep tissue massage and nice wine sounds divine. I have only had a professional massage a few times in my life, so it would be a real treat. Did you and Mrs. Stillwater book massages already? People were saying that you don't have to worry too much about booking those ahead of time?

We did. We decided on reflexology on Monday morning.
That Sunday it going to be a long one. Patriots Super Bowl Party, Pres Hall, Jacket, and then that Hallahan DJ set went til 5am last year. So i figured a massage Monday morning makes the most sense. I got a deep tissue last year and just spend the whole time triyng to not throw up through the pillow with the face hole. Awful idea with a hangover.

Speaking of the Super Bowl party, did you all see who is catering it? Two people from Butchertown Grocery are handling it, and that place has a top-notch menu. I was curious as to whether they'd be able to top the last one (I ate so much food I sank back into the sand and watched the super bowl from a somewhat comatose state). It looks like they're going to try to top or at least equal it.

Stereotypical Superbowl type food? I am not exactly a football crazed person, so sitting in the sand in a food coma watching the game from afar seems like a good plan to me. I do love appetizers though, so Superbowl parties are some of my favorite parties

It's really good food. They always have a chef or two oversee the preparations, so at the last one the chef had roasted at least one hog. They also had seafood offerings, other meats, vegetable offerings, you name it. It was an enormous spread, and you could go up and get seconds. I'm excited about this one because Butchertown is pretty good in its own right. For example, they have a $50 burger that has five-year prosciutto fat inside it, plus whipped lard, shaved black truffle and foie gras. And even if you're not a football crazed type, it's relaxing watching the game while sitting on or near the beach. They project the game onto a huge screen that sits on the other side of a small bay from all the viewers. It's so picturesque.

Patrick Hallahan is a co-owner of Butchertown
And I didn't even know that, but their inclusion makes even more sense in light of that. ... We always try to hit up different places when we're in Louisville for Forecastle or other shows. My wife and I are both big fans of the city, and it's not too terribly far from Columbus.

Thanks for the info friends. One more question, is there just a bus waiting for you if you have arranged transport through one big holiday? Or will they let us know times for pickup in Cancun? First OBH and first trip to Mexico. Starting to get excited.
The shuttle will be there when you land. I think you have to give them your arrival time when you book it? But you have to get through the sea of people trying to get you into their cab. Keep your head down and keep walking.
We'll be there pretty early. Me and my guy have mani/pedi's scheduled for 1pm that Saturday.
Who's arriving at the resort early? Hope to be there by 2pm in just over a week!
My group is getting in a day early. We did the same thing at the last one. We're going to take a quick trip into Playa del Carmen early the next day to eat some authentic cuisine and get some "supplies" on 5th Avenue. That game plan worked out pretty well for us last time. We asked our taxi driver to drop us off at the best restaurant, and he dropped us off at this amazing little place a few blocks away.
