My wife and me and some friends are going for the third time. This lineup, to me, is the best one yet. I even put Spoon and PtM on my feedback email and bam! Here they are. If anyone's on the fence about this, it really is the perfect vacation-music fest combo. You spend the day at the beach/lounging in a pool/going on excursions, and then in the late afternoon and night you spend your time dancing, checking out killer shows at a beautiful venue. (Seeing how WSP did their Fest at this venue, it looks like the stage will be on the beach this time). We met people earlier this year in Mexico we're still friends with. (We even hung out with them at the recent Cleveland MMJ show). The people are one of the best parts of the Fest. From the time you get on the bus at the airport until the end, 99 percent of the people are fun loving, interesting and, best of all, nice. So pumped about this.

Pretty likely I will be there, haven't been since the first year and to this date it rates as one of my favorite music experiences ever. I took a couple years off to do Jam Cruise, but this line up is pretty awesome. I just need to convince my one friend.

One of these days we have to meet up. I was in Cleveland. I was on the rail and didn't even notice that ship.
Do you think you were too close - or just too into the show? The latter's defintely possible with MMJ!
Definitely too into because people on both sides of me saw it. I didn't even notice the horn honk. Though I am sure being close didn't help. I am sure it would be harder to miss if you are looking at the stage as a hole rather than just staring down Carl from 3 feet away like I do. haha
For those who don't know what I am talking about... these are not mine and they don't show it too well, but a giant boat passed by directly behind the stage in the middle of the set.

When will this sell out of two people rooms? What's usually the cut off date? We might be doing this, but I wouldn't know until around November...Hopefully that's not too late to get a room.

Last year it sold out in a week, but the switch to the DR means it will hold 1,000 more people (2.5k to 3.5k). One could assume it'll take longer to sell out... Some say maybe it won't sell out because most fests at this location don't sell out, but who knows. If it sells out before you can purchase, I suggest joining the fan club group on Facebook. Spots and rooms will come and go through there all year long. Cloud 9 will also do waiting lists.

I just picked up an ER shift so will be working a total of 92 hours this week between the hospital, the office and taking pt triage calls at home to ensure that I have some $$ to get this party started. I'll sleep when I'm dead.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I've never been more excited to throw down a ton o' bucks on a Tuesday.
We we're glad when they took a year off so we could save up for obh3, and then a baby happened. So we are so, so ready for obh4. And I'm excited it's in a different country (that sounds weird) but I'm looking forward to the excitement of a new place and shows on the beach.
Plus sylavan Esso was at obh2 and Amelia meath singing fade into you was quacking amazing. synergy of her voice, mmj, and one of my favorite songs ever...
If you're on the fence, I can't recommend it enough.

it looks like resort is split by the lazy river, and the beach side rooms start with carribean sand suites.
if you are worried about walking too much: '...grab a ride from one of the convenient resort trolleys. Trolleys circulate the property in frequent rotation, so you never have a long way to go and can save your energy for dancing!"
I see it says you can split the payments for the payment plan but does anybody see if you can also split the down payment? Or does one person have to pay that

Trolleys would be nice. We weren't too far from the stage this year, and we still got 20,000 + steps a day (My wife wears a fit bit).

Pretty sure one person has to do that. So if you're booking, have someone paypal/venmo you the money.

Just got a Caribbean sand suite. Can't wait to go to my first OBH after thinking about going to the previous three and never pulling the trigger on it.
