So these 6 acts together are awesome. Somehow I've only seen Roger Waters and Paul McCartney of the 6. But spending upwards of $4000 for decent seats, hotel, plane tickets and expenses is just not in the cards. If only I was old and rich...
I suspect the streaming options for this fest will be ample.
I'm not so sure. I know both Dylan and Neil have restrictions on video clauses in their contracts. Dylan won't even allow video for the venue on stage, when there is a screen at his shows its from a single camera at the soundboard.

Neil had his whole Global Citizen set recorded. I'm sure GV asked them to make exceptions for this "special event" ... or they'd go out and find some other geezer who would.
Didn't even notice the seating chart until y'all posted it. $400 to be behind all that is crazy.
Yeah that definitely deflated my excitement balloon a bit. But I guess a ton of seating is to be expected for the old farts.
May still go Friday, though, if I can get tickets. It's our anniversary weekend and CPK has alwaysssss wanted to see the stones. Plus I was already planning a trip to palm springs for that weekend and had already booked a hotel
Did Coachella this year and don't qualify for any of those categories. Saving money is a thing.
Ive been to Coachella twice, and dont qualify for any of those catergories, but most people who go do is all I'm saying big dawg
I mean, a GA pass to this is in the same ball park as Bonnaroo, or almost any other music festival. You know, a luxury event that 99% or the world's population can't afford.

Right but there is like 6 acts in total in comparison to 135 on an actual festival lineup, which to me isn't worth it.

So what you're now saying is it's actually nothing like Coachella. Got it.
Wow, never actually read a definition of this, always thought it referred to older people, like former hippies that sold out/bought in, compromising their youthful ideals for money.

feel the need to ask, whats the chance this happens again next year ? maybe some of the same artists and some newer ones? something along the lines of Macca, Stones, Elton John, Robert Plant, Sabbath (if they're still touring), Neil Young, Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder. i dont know i just really want to do this but it doesnt look like it can happen this year.

I've somehow managed to only see Neil Young from this group, so this is looking like a good way to check off a bunch of people off the bucket list from my GA viewing spot in Arizona.
Goldenvoice seems like the perfect fit for this as well.
Like, toss together a bill with Daft Punk, the Chemical Brothers, Underworld, the Avalanches, Aphex Twin, Massive Attack, Portishead, Boards of Canada, Orbital, the Orb, the Prodigy, Leftfield, LFO, Moby, and then some electronic-indebted acts like Sneaker Pimps, Jamiroquai, Primal Scream, and I'd pay $1600 for it, fucking right.
I've been dreaming about Primal Scream on the Polo Fields for years. Its a shame they haven't played Coachella since 2003.

Agreed, except the odds for something like this to ever happen in America are pretty low
Gonna try and find someone to buy off a Friday ticket before Monday, $290 for Macca, Roger Waters and Neil Young is definitely worth it. Even if it is from the other side of the Salton Sea lol
