So, either Bonnaroo is doing some strange definitions of days (after midnight Friday is referred to as Saturday) or the Kalliope schedule is not accurate: Kalliope Email

Hoping it's the former, since there clearly is a block of time from 1 - 5 on Friday. But why the hell would they call that Saturday night?
I think this clearly proves the Kalliope schedule isn't a schedule at all.
Hoping for Lane 8, expecting Griz. Which is fine too.
I dont see how Griz would be playing since he would have to leave for part of the SJ saturday (sunday morning).
Considering on the website they have Tame Impala listed for Saturday at 1am. I would lean closer to this actually being on friday night. Then again saturday night is without a late Which show so it makes sense to do kalliope big that evening.

The rumor was Griz joining the Floozies Thursday and then going over to the Kalliope.

shit, good point, that's what I get for putting minimal thought and zero research into my statements.
I'm thinking Lane 8 is a real possibility then. Maybe DJ Taye? Or maybe I'm just selecting the DJs I want to play Kalliope.

I've never done the trapped in the closet sing a long, would anyone recommend it or should I hit up the barn and see who shows up there, or Kaillope? Never been to any of these, and was curious what everyone's thoughts were or plans for the LN post main sets.

If you've never seen Trapped In The Closet you should go. If you've seen it, they just play the videos and some R Kelly tunes. It was awesome in 2014 because people were really into it all, not as much last year.

I'm not super familiar with the whole trapped in the closet phenomenon, and thus have never been to the sing a long, but its a bonnaroo tradition and I've never read a review that didn't make it sound like a blast.
I've been in the barn and it's fine I guess. I don't really see the appeal.
I know we have our kalliope detractors and I understand the complaints, but what I like about it is you'll never get shut out of it or have to wait in line for it. the benefit of an open air stage.

I think Friday 1-5 just says Red Bull Academy or whatever, which I think London Bridge (who confirmed their set on Twitter as mentioned on a previous post) would probably fall under.

I was taking the confirmation for them as Saturday late night. Also in the email from yesterday it sounds like 1 artist is playing the full 4 hour slot on Friday. It's a "surprise performance". That being said I was thinking it may of said Red Bull as well for that slot.

Additional thing to consider: Dr. Jeep also tweeted saying he's playing "Friday 3am Kalliope stag - part of the rbma takeover".

I just realized I haven't even looked at the schedule since it was initially released.
This schedule makes me sad. There are 15 minute blocks when NO MUSIC is being played. All 3 tents and 2 stages are quiet for a few periods during the weekend. There are multiple times when all 3 tents are quiet. 45 minute and hour long blocks are the norm between sets.
Who the hell does that?
Fuck this schedule, I'm a free ranging rooster for this year. Have a couple must sees, but going to just let my ear guide me for most of the weekend. Unless Dave Maynar or marcoolio tell me there's something I can't miss.

Apparently, you haven't seen me talking about how this is, by far, going to be my least intense Bonnaroo music wise. Not a ton of must sees for me. Here's what I got that I am definitely going to:
Thursday Bully Hinds Twin Peaks
Friday Dungen Kamasi Washington LCD
Saturday Natalie Prass Claypool Lennon Superjam
Sunday Superjam
Everything else is things I have seen before or things I am conflicted with. I only say this because it's you, but if you don't care for Haim and Nathaniel Rateliff, you might try Clutch.
In other news, wow. This lineup just gets worse every time I look at it.

Oh, I'll definitely be at Clutch. Saw them my very first Bonnaroo, and then again when they opened up for Mastodon a year or so ago.
FUCK YOU BONNAROO. I just now looked at the Thursday schedule. There's a 15 minute gap where all 3 tents are quiet after EVERY SINGLE ACT. So basically Thursday will be a guaranteed shit show, even with low attendance numbers because everyone will be moving from tent to tent at the same time. I guess that's one way to make it feel just as crowded.
So far, these are my only shows this is what I'm leaning towards (*=must see):
Thurs Bully Twin Peaks/Vulfpeck (undecided, still need to listen to Vulfpeck, but they've been getting some buzz here)
Friday Dungen* Ibeyi Kamasi Washington* M83 LCD* (What Pit for this show will be the best thing about Bonnaroo) Tame Impala* Lane 8 (again, never listened, going off enthusiasm here)
Saturday Chicano Batman Clutch Claypool Lennon Delirium* Pearl Jam Superjam w/Kamasi*
Sunday Cymande (never listened, enthusiasm) Sunflower Bean Ween Dead & Co
Ya, going to be a light year for me. Fuck it, still going to have fun. Just wish Bonnaroo made it easier for us to have a good time this year.

Done. I honestly don't think I've ever listened to him, so not familiar. I do recognize that name a lot from Now Playing, so that's good enough for me!
I'll be there, thanks.
I've done zero research into the lineup. The initial lineup announcement depressed me so much, had no desire to even look. Wasn't even for sure going to 'roo til Levitation was cancelled.
