what shows should I go to Saturday? Two door, claypool Lennon, and pearl jam are the only acts I really want to see.
Grace Potter Natalie Press Nathanial Radcliff & the Night Sweat Superjam Big Grams
Have you heard anything about oh wonder? I know that some people were going to oh wonder during Nathaniel Radcliff and waiting for claypool Lennon. I like oh wonder's album but don't know anything about the live show.
The more I listen to big grams the more I don't really want to see them. I'm thinking just the superjam late night (unless I'm in "the mood" for Miguel).

yeah its a thin day. I'll be checking out Chicano Batman if I'm up that early, then Chris Stapleton. Would like to catch one of the Judd Apatow sets as well. I'd be happy with the one with Vanessa and Pete, cause I'm an SNL fan, but I'd also like to see Nate Bargatze in the 2nd show.
Nathaniel Rateliff should be a fun and high energy show. Then I'm right there with you for Claypool > Pearl Jam.
I hope you're planning on hitting up the Superjam but just forgot to mention it?

I have Oh Wonder on my list, but I haven't seen them live. I have seen Nathaniel and he puts on a great show.
I am going to get to the Superjam early for my spot since Jeremy and I both are monsters that don't like Pearl Jam. I am planning on leaving for Big Grams but that all depends on my feelings during the Superjam.

Thanks postjack! I'm definitely hitting up the superjam. I've never seen something like that before so I'm definitely going to check it out.

Judd Apatow is doing his first set in the Comedy Tent at 4:45, they will prob start handing out tickets between 1:30 - 3 (if you're interested in going you should ask the volunteers at the Comedy Tent on Friday what time they will give them out...be around 40 mins or so beforehand.)
If that's not your thing, Grace Potter -> Chris Stapleton on What should be a good time. If that doesn't interest you...Judah & The Lion, Natalie Press, and The Record Company would all be solid options.
I would also recommend Nathaniel Ratliff in-between Two-Door and Claypool.

I have a couple "monsters" in my group as well you're not the only ones. Oh wonder vs Nathaniel will probably be a game time decision.

The Internet. I'm honestly really suprised by their lack of buzz on here. Not sure if it's people not digging their sound or concerns about Syd's voice live.. Ah well, better spot for me I guess

Watched some live Oh Wonder footage, and they sound great. Honestly was expecting just maybe a synth and drum loop machine, but they have live instrumentation and their voices sound wonderful. Also incorporate some covers intertwined with their own songs. And, the added factor of being able to get a better spot for CLD makes it easy for me.

For me it's syd's voice. All the live videos I've seen leave a lot to be desired. I love their grooves though for sure, and I'm excited they're involved in the superjam.

I personally think the Claypool-Lennon Delirium album was boring as shit. What was yall's opinion? That album reinforced my initial decision to go see Lamb of God instead.

You son of a bitch.
Seriously though. I really enjoyed it. I was wavering at perhaps going to go see Ellie Goulding with beebee instead, but the album solidified Claypool Lennon as the choice for me. I was into Lamb of God some back in the day, but I haven't really listened to anything of theirs in years.

I am in no way a Death Metal fan. Only metal I like is Metallica who i've been into for probably 9 years. For me this album wasn't the type of psych rock I was looking for and I pulled the plug 9 songs in. To me I just feel like if Roo books one famous metal act, you should go. Especially since I'll have hours to pregame before them and just rock the fuck out to Lamb of God and pearl Jam while being ignorant hahaha. What made the CLD album special to you though im curious to here alternative opinions/

I love it. I feel like Claypool brought out the best of Sean Lennon. I've listened to it several times already, and each listen makes me more sure that this will be a special set.

I thought it was good but nothing amazing. Some songs I really like and some I really hate.

It reminded me more of straight Primus stuff which I enjoy. I am not saying it's gonna be AotY or anything. It's gonna be a fun time though. Re: the metal, I am more picky about that I guess. I have seen a shit ton of metal in my day, so I am only go to stuff that I am really into.

I would consider checking out Ellie for a bit if I wasn't well aware that it'll be so miserably crowded that it isn't even worth it.
But now that I know you'll be at Claypool, maybe I should reconsider going to Ellie after all... #avoidtheMaynar

My sat plan is like this. Overall this day is mostly throw away, but there's some really good stuff from 5:00 on.
I'm gonna get to the comedy tent at like 10am and hopefully secure a Judd stand up ticket. Then head to Judd Q&A, see a little Grace and East, get to Judd line around 3:45 and get a decent spot for his show. Missing Stapleton and most of TDCC, but it'll be worth it. Judd doesn't tour often, and this was high on my must see list.
I've decided to skip Papadosio for Hinds, after Bully I figured I'd mellow out to Papadosio, but then I watched Hinds live set online...damn they're legit. I caught on late, but better late than never.
I'm probably in the slim minority here, but I'm not digging whatever Dungen is throwing at me. I am going to check out Firekid, and originally I thought he was annoying as hell. I listened to the whole album instead of just a few tracks, and while I'm not a big country fan: he has an edge to the genre that I appreciate.
I really don't know what to do with Shamir vs FIDLAR. Originally I was going to see first half of Shamir, and then catch the second half of FIDLAR. I love Shamir's Ratchet album so....I guess I'll just feel the groove for as long as it's there and when I get bored(if I get bored) head to FIDLAR.
Last one. I was so sold on seeing Lettuce, and while I've seen FJM twice, I wanted to switch it up and finally see lettuce. Now I'm not sure, because FJM is so great live, I've seen him in the festival setting at Lolla and indoors in Rochester, NY. He left me in awe both times. Spur of the moment here I guess, what are you guys doing?

The way I'm solving the FJM vs lettuce conflict will be solely based on heat. If it's too hot for which stage I'm going to lettuce's set, otherwise I'm going to see FJM as I haven't seen either live.

I keep missing FJM as well, but when I missed him at ACL it was because he was ranting when we rolled up to the stage. We just kept on walking. I am going to miss him at Bonnaroo, my love for Lettuce outweighs the desire to see him.

- Unless they have changed the way they distribute comedy tickets, it's not first in Centeroo gets a ticket for whatever show they want to see that day. Caught Aziz in 2012 and Bob Saget 2013, both times they released the tickets between 2 - 3 hours beforehand. I'm hoping they release them at 1 or 1:30 so I can catch the Sausage Party screening, but they will prob give them out at 2 or 2:30. Nevertheless, getting in line at 10 would be unnecessary. Make it a point to ask somebody working the comedy tent on Friday what time tickets will be released, be in line an hour early.
- Sunday is brutal for me. Kurt Vile vs Jason Isbell -> FJM vs Lettuce. I am going with Kurt Vile -> FJM...I have seen Isbell multiple times and prob will be seeing him again in the fall, haven't caught Kurt Vile yet. I will stay around Which for FJM as well...should be catching Lettuce at Lockn in August. Can't go wrong though either way.

I love me some metal, but will be passing on Lamb of God, they just don't do much for me.
And I'm typically at all the roo metal shows. Slayer was of course awesome last year. Pelican and Pallbearer kicked ass previous years. The bass from Pallbearer makes feel wondrous things. Isis was a fan-fucking-tastic booking too, but I wasn't at roo that year.
But ya, easy choice for me between Claypool Lennon and Lamb of God.

honestly i'll be so excited to see Claypool he could just put on a funny hat and stand there and I'd be entertained for an hour. but I do dig the record.
would love to catch Lamb of God, it's an unfortunate conflict. I'm not a huge fan but I do dig straight ahead thrash, and also love to support any metal that comes to bonnaroo. just not in the cards this year.
I feel like the more I think the more I have no idea what to do. My schedule easily changes a couple times a day. Lots of these will be game time decisions. So excited.

We seriously hammered out our plans last night. There are a couple of things that are "it depends on how we are feeling at the set" but my schedule is about 99% set.
