Griz Vs FIDLAR vs kamasi is tough for me. also who decided on having Tyler the Creator play against J. Cole??
Is this the first time they have had two rappers conflicting? Also Vince ends 15 minutes before J.Cole. It might be a fight to the front for all the hip hop fans at Bonnaroo.
Oh and also speaking of Griz, this is like the first time they have had EDM on the Which Stage before it gets dark.
I still don't understand how they can leave Which Stage dark on Saturday night, it makes everything overcrowded.
because Pearl Jam will play minimum an hour over their time and a lot of people will stay there
This is a good point. They played way over their set time the last time they visited the farm. ... For me, a lot of my Saturday LN planning is going to depend on the Super Jam. They do have it at This at this point, so hopefully it's a pretty good one.

The J Cole vs Vince conflict reminds me of '13 when Action Bronson was opposite Macklemore. It separated the hard core from the rest. That Bronsolini show was an insane good time.
Fidlar vs Kamasi Washington is upsetting me as well as St Motel vs Kurt Vile. My biggest upset is the Ween vs Dead & Co conflict. Bar none that has me more worried than any conflict I've ever had before. It's only 15 minutes on the schedule but that's a huge deal to me.
It's official the Cinema Tent is dead.... I quacking knew it. It's not on the site, it's not on the schedule and its was the one thing truly expendable for those quacking bathrooms. -_-

My two trips there were memorable. I saw the Mavs beat the Heat for the NBA championship while Widespread played and I napped in the AC during Dark Side of Oz.

And I somehow still made it to the pit for Macklemore. Of course this was when I was a Bonnanoob and didn't realize they'd kick me out before Kendrick started. I somehow made it back in though

Having two of the top rap acts on the lineup this year playing at the same time is kind of a cruel move with the genre being represented so lightly.

I really enjoyed the cinema tent. It was a good way to cool off and was even more interesting to us as something to do as the schedule has started to get more and more typical (hour sets, big gaps in between)

About. Fucking. Time.
Not just yet, it is still on this page about halfway down

They also had Big Boi vs. Lil Wayne and Talib vs. Kanye

Super Jam is in This Tent.
My bad. I knew it - and even after 10 previous trips to the farm I still find myself sometimes stumbling over the names, outside of What. Thanks.

For the most part, this is pretty good. Thursday has some conflicts but that was to be expected since I have some degree of interest in nearly every act that day. But there isn't anything I need to see. So that'll be a good day.
The majority of the conflicts for me are mitigated by me also going to Pitchfork and Lollapalooza, where there are unlikely to be conficts. Kamasi/FIDLAR/Shamir sucks but both Kamasi and Shamir are at Pitchfork. Tame Impala/Blood Orange but Blood Orange is at Pitchfork. Big Grams/Superjam/Miguel but Big Grams is at Lolla and Miguel is Pitchfork. Plus the Superjam might be weak like last year. M83/Tyler the Creator, but M83 will likely open for Radiohead at Lolla, So I'll go straight from Tyler to LCD to get into the pit. Saturday is weak in general, can't believe they don't have the Which open. The biggest conflict for me of the whole fest then is probably Ellie Goulding/Claypool Lennon Delirium/Lamb of God, all of whom I probably won't see again this year. CLD is the obvious choice of course. Sunday I want to see basically everything on What and Which so I'll be moving between those all day.
The real place they fucked up is set times and gaps. It does look like on average they're longer than last year, with more 60 and 75 minutes as opposed to 45 minutes, but there are such long gaps. Give everyone 15 minutes longer and start the day an hour or two earlier. It's a fucking travesty that they gave headliner LCD Soundsystem a 90 minute set and Tame Impala a 2 hour set. Tame doesn't even play that long! Guaranteed they won't fill that time, unless they take a long encore break. Also, how they gonna book Ween for one of their only Summer shows, a reunion show no less, and give them 75 minutes? At least they're closing the stage so they can go over (and I hope they do). And of course Pearl Jam with only 2 hours is a joke, we all know they're going at least an hour over that.
Sidenote, I actually don't mind that things don't start til 2ish. I'm usually not ready to go until after lunch and spending all day in centeroo starting at noon really wears me out

Ha, me too, it's the only conflict that makes me nervous, and its a piddly little 15 minutes. Completely possible Ween plays over though. But hey, Dead & Co. might be a little late, unless Ween goes really crazy long at most we'll miss half of the first Dead & Co. set.

Trapped in the Closet was one of my favorite things last year. I'm really glad I decided to try other festivals. Bonnaroo feels like a sinking ship.
Shorter sets, longer time between sets, music starts and ends later, barely any legacy/rare acts, ticket increase, no cinema tent, and charging for camping. Gross.
edit: oops didn't see the cinema tent posts. Guess it is gonna be there.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

The Cinema Tent is not dead. They just haven't announced what they'll be showing yet..
But yes, all the other points are valid complaints
Well the schedule is out and it seems we are all still pretty depressed.
I guess we'll spend most of our time on the farm this year staring at our feet and feeling sad.
Not me. Even with the lack of lineup depth, I have less downtime than most years.
However, I must say that I can't find anybody that I want to watch between noon and 2PM on Friday and Saturday or late nights after 3AM? It is quite weird.

Do you guys actually care that music starts later? Shows between noon and like 4 are almost never worth it because of the heat. Spoon was one of my most anticipated shows last year and I could barely enjoy it because my skin felt like it was melting off of my body.

Tropical Party and Tiki Disco, they'll no doubt be the highlights of the weekend if your top priority is vomiting in the Christmas Barn.
