I did some rough figuring comparing the 2011 lineup to this years and it looks like there is an average of about 6 hours less music each day (Fri-Sun) across the 5 main stages. 2016 totals around 88 hours music for the weekend while 2011 was about 105. The What Stage features about 20 hours this year compared to 24 in 2011. The Which Stage has 19 hours compared to 24.5 in 2011 and the 3 tents combine for around 48 hours this year compared to 57 in 2011. Day-by-day Friday runs about 33 hours vs. 37 in 2011, Saturday has 25 compared to 33, and Sunday is 30 vs 35.
Well the schedule is out and it seems we are all still pretty depressed.
I guess we'll spend most of our time on the farm this year staring at our feet and feeling sad.
Not me. Even with the lack of lineup depth, I have less downtime than most years.
However, I must say that I can't find anybody that I want to watch between noon and 2PM on Friday and Saturday or late nights after 3AM? It is quite weird.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Do you guys actually care that music starts later? Shows between noon and like 4 are almost never worth it because of the heat. Spoon was one of my most anticipated shows last year and I could barely enjoy it because my skin felt like it was melting off of my body.
Yeah I can almost never motivate myself to leave the campsite before 2. Even for bands I want to see, I usually end up skipping them and just hanging out
A lot of people are including Lane 8 on their projected schedules.
Should I look into this DJ dude? Never listened to his stuff before, I don't think.
He's a pretty big name for the silent disco. He's good, but I feel like the line to see him wouldn't be worth it. Especially since you'd probably have to get there during the massive Friday LN conflicts to even have a chance.

I would because the time they seem to have dropped from noon-2 seems to have just been compressed around the headliner. In the past, the headliner would be unopposed and stick closer to their time slot. Now, there's a shit-ton of overlap already scheduled over the headliners, plus if the they play longer, they overlap with LN.
Shows from 12-2pm actually got me out of my camp and into Centeroo to buy food and sit around in the shade for a little bit before going back to camp to get ready/start drinking. Now that they start later, I usually just eat at camp and don't stroll into Centeroo til 4 or so. I feel like Bonnaroo is missing out on revenue stream here. How much effort does it take to plop one of these cafe acts on a big stage to open? Just because I'm not standing dead center in the field doesn't mean I'm not listening to it.

The amount of changes last year was maddening. I think something changed just about every other day. What they kept doing with All Them Witches alone caused unprecedented amounts of stress to some people on here.
This is exactly what I was thinking. EVERY.OTHER.DAY they changed the schedule. I finally gave and said fuck it I'll figure it out when I get there. Something tells me this is not the final draft.
Great job, 'Roo. You finally managed to scehedule the handful of bands I wanted to see against each other (first really achieved with the 2013 Saturday LN with Super Jam/"Weird Al" Yankovic/Billy Joel).
I think you mean Idol. But godamnit so much I'm still pissed about that WTF?!?
Amusingly if I was going this year I would be wanting to see 12 hours of performances across the 3 days tallied which is exactly the same amount of time I spent in 2011. The difference though is that there are 7 (mostly unopposed) bands this year vs 11 groups (multiple conflicts) in 2011. Also the 4 hour Dead & Friends set contributes heavily to my total for this year. My favorite lineup year (2009) I saw 19.5 hours of sets by 15 groups from Friday-Sunday (not counting comedians). My busiest year (2013) I saw 20.5 hours of shows by 16 groups from Friday-Sunday plus 2 more hours on Thursday.
Can anyone zoom in on the schedule slider image on the Bonnaroo home page? It lists the Kalliope and appear to have times and names listed. I can't do it on mobile. Thanks!
Probably the least amount of conflicts I've ever had at Bonnaroo. Missing the Bluegrass Superjam for the first time will be a bummer but I've been preparing myself. I'm also preparing for the difficult decision to leave PJ early...

I'm about 50% sure I can make out Lane 8 and Cashmere Cat. No idea on times or others. I was able to save and zoom in a bit on the image in this post: www.bonnaroo.com/news/behold-2016-schedule-upon-us
I'm on mobile, not sure if it's clearer on a computer.

Lane 8 is a progressive house/trance DJ from Above & Beyond's record label. Definitely look into him if you are NOT a fan of cheese Edm.
Wait, what? Sorry to be a genre nerd, but Lane 8 is deep house through and through. There's absolutely nothing trance or progressive about his style. He's signed to Above & Beyond's Ajunadeep, not Ajunabeats, a subsidiary of their label specifically for deep house.
Trance:
Deep House:
Anyway, sorry to come at you like a spider monkey, but it's kinda like calling Dead & Co. country.

This one's better than the one posted above:
Thursday 1200-0100 Hundred Waters 0100-0200 Mija (??) She's playing June 12th at Mysteryland (her website has the 10th as a placeholder), same a Griz. 0200-0300 Griz (??) 0300-0400 Cashmere Cat 0400-0500
Friday 1200-0100 Keys N Krates 0200-0500 Red Bull
Saturday 1200-0100 0100-0200 Quickie Mart 0200-0300 Lane 8 0300-0400 0400-0500

I'm not depressed at all, schedule is better than I thought it'd be.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday don't have anything too heart breaking, though Sunday is pretty dicey with Ween bleeding into the Dead, Lettuce and Sam Bush partially conflicting. Plus the Bluegrass Super jam being completely opposed to the Dead, though that one was unavoidable.

I might make my first appearance at Kaliope to see Hundred Waters.

Good luck with that! I tried to do it in 2008 because Pearl Jam played over their set time and it was running into Sigur Ros but I found myself literally unable to leave. I kept creeping a little further and then a little further more towards to back of the What field to cut over to the That Tent but emotionally could not depart until it was completely over. In the end it all worked out because Sigur Ros didn't start on time maybe due to an acknowledgement that many people would still be coming from it.

Thursday Kalliope is gonna be FIRE. Looks like I need to find additional substances to keep me up. Griz into Cashmere Cat is gonna be insane.

If that holds true, Lane 8 is a godsend for Saturday LN
