It's happened before, either last year or the year before. Big storms, lots of rain multiple days leading right up to Thursday. Cars were getting stuck at the tollbooths and getting pushed to get through huge puddles. We all thought we were in for a classic mud-a-roo.
Then Thursday hit, lots of sun, no rain for the rest of the weekend. Most of the grounds were dry by the afternoon, bone dry by Friday. We were shocked.
volunteering in 2010 (i think?) we got hit the day before the gates opened by a MASSIVE storm. we could hear it rushing up on us it was so angry and everybody's everything that was outside the car got annihilated. RIP many phones and pop-ups

I really wish the weather at Bonnaroo would be like it is in Memphis today. Mild and sunny. I sat in my back yard all day watching the hummingbirds eat from my feeder. And the neighborhood bunny came to visit.
Bunnies!!! Ya gotta love bunnies...next best thing to unicorns.
Gonna he hot and dry...we hit 97 here yesterday and haven't had any significant rain in a LONG time...weather.com has highs in the upper 90s with only a 10% chance of rain through the weekend...get the bandanas and dust masks ready...

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
I can deal with the hot as its all I've known my whole life living in southern Tennessee, but the rain not so much...mud at Roo is terrible IMO...
Seems like half of Roo is going to be a scorcher! Weather underground.com has Thur at 93 and Fri at 94. This is my 4th Roo and that's the hottest I've witnessed. Would enjoy mid 80's the rest of the weekend or a brand new forecast

I choose Accuweather's current future pseudoreality: 85, 92, 85, 85, 85, with "a stray afternoon thunderstorm" on Saturday.
still over a week away. i love that y'all think any person or service is even 60% sure on what the weather will be already
What else is there to obsess over at this point?
talking about the weather is one thing. people pretending they know already and advising people is different.
better things to obsess about: resolving conflicts With no pod 1 are they still going to put the first arrivals out in the edge of nowhere? superjam guests Do I take an extra day off and hit Graceland/Dollywood on the way? costumery the current weather where you are Do I take an extra day off and hit the rack for 24 hours straight after the 2-hour shower I take when I get home? What color is a mirror?

If there is no pod 1 why did Bonnaroo send out this in an email blast today?
Showers can be found at most POD locations, indicated on your festival map. Showers are operated and cleaned by our very own shower fairies during hours of operations: Wednesday from 9 pm - 12 am at PODs 1, 3 and 10, and at all PODS from 6 am - 2 am on Thursday - Sunday, and 6 am - 11 am on Monday. Showers cost $10 during peak hours (daily between 6 am - 2 pm and 6 pm - 10 pm) and thanks to our friends at KOHLER® we offer $5 “happy hours” during off-peak hours (daily from 2 pm - 6 pm and 10 pm - 2 am)./quote]

I thought it states that campsites were first one first serve this year so the earlier you arrived the closer to Centeroo you would be!

We had this discussion in another thread, it does say that but it still also says:
Managing traffic is the closest thing we know to rocket science, trust us. We have three GA entrances - which we call Tollbooths - as well as an exclusive VIP Tollbooth for VIP ticket holders only. In order to get everyone into the festival as quickly as possible, we carefully balance the number of vehicles coming into each Tollbooth. Please take the suggested routes below, and obey all law enforcement directions, as well as electronic message boards that may post an alternative route.
What determines where you camp? The Tollbooth in which you enter, and the time you arrive.
Does this mean some people get “better” camping spots than others? Yeah, it does. Life is unfair.
So to me, that looks like business as normal regardless of the missing pod.

I'm just going by the map on my phone. Says only the poor Croo are stuck out in nowheresville.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
