I've given up trying to understand billing. It's not bad, just a little confused about how you go from last year to this. Is the new thing to bump people and save money by doing that?

For my tastes, this is pretty much about as great as I could hope for. Definitely blows last year out of the water! Do agree the billing is all kinds of wonky, but acts that I would see (without digging):
Tool (bucket list band) Chance Phoenix Childish Lorde Wu-Tang Ronson/Parker Beach House Schoolboy Q Air The Avalanches Phantogram Franz Ferdinand Local Natives Mac Demarco Charles Bradley Danny Brown Michael Kiwanuka Car Seat Headrest Skepta
And I've only seen 4 of those acts prior... I think it'd be a pretty good 3 days.
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief
Pretty surprised how rap heavy this is considering how they booked the meadows, but at least there's little to no edm so hopefully those kiddies stay away.

I'm really happy with this lineup. The popular electronic may be weak, but other than Marshmello you can't really complain about a lot at the top. The Avalanches and Air make the electronic more than quality for me.
The rap is dope as hell. Chance and Gambino were getting bigger by the year, it was only a matter of time before they became headliners. Being that they are some of the more qualified up and coming rap / r&b artists in the game. If Kendrick was first, this is the next logical progression.
Overall I'm very pleased. And fucking Air is making their way to the east coast. I mean come on!!!
I could be forgetting something, but is this the best rap lineup of the year so far... just by having Chance, Wu, Schoolboy, Danny Brown? Sad if so.
Of course, you don't know whether you're getting Good Wu-Tang or Mailing It In Wu-Tang.
hahaha I've been treated to both versions. I'd still call it a major positive on a lineup poster for me based on the place they hold in my heart and the chance that they will tear it up.

Ugh. I was concerned when Launchpad said "It's all about the undercard" on here that it was spin for saying "They barely bothered booking headliners". Sad that my fears were confirmed.

Tool Phoenix Chance Childish Wu Tang Air Lorde Avalanches Ronson vs Parker Beach House Local Natives Skepta Francis and the Lights (you know they are gonna come out for Chance too) The Range Parquet Courts Mac DeMarco Royal Blood Carseat Headrest
Proving that Tool really takes a chunk outta tha budgets.
I would be in on this with:
Tool Chance Phoenix Donald Glover The Wu (I hope with GZA and Method Man this time..) Ronson/Parker Connection EFFIN" AIR!!! Phantogram Franzy Charli XCX Royal Blood Charles Bradley Danny Brown Michael Kiwanuka Warpaint FrancisLights
Still kinda surprised. This looks like a first or second year fest lineup.
