And like chicken had been saying in here.....it's unlikely to be really enforced all weekend or by all staff. Honestly, some of the staff just feel the outside of your bag for a second and then let you in. Some rifle through it and look for everything. Just keep an eye on what line you're in and you are golden.

My camelback has never been completely searched at ANY festival I have gone to. I leave the biggest pocked zipped and nobody has ever noticed.
I think the rule has usually been one. I know I used to always bring two waters with my on my walk into Centeroo. One for the walk from camp and one I left sealed until I got inside.
I imagine if they say "any amount of sealed water bottles" people will bring in a backpack with 20 of them lol.
Yeah I always just have a camelback so it doesn't really matter to me, I just don't know why they would care if someone brought in 20 bottles as opposed to 1
because some entrepreneurial individual will spend all weekend bringing in cases of sealed deer park water bottles and selling them for $1.
My lady is on the farm as a volunteer - she told me their staff handbook says that water bottles and Camelbaks filled with water only will be allowed in Centeroo. This is obviously incongruent with what Bonnaroo has stated in the email we're all fired up about, but honestly I feel like the volunteers aren't going to give as nearly as much of a fuck about this as we are.

There's always one line that splits into many security lines as you enter centeroo. Don't look for the shortest, look for the fastest moving.
If they tell you to dump your camelbak, walk over to the area where everyone is dumping their water, then just keep walking. There's no accountability.
Remember these guys are just volunteers, avoid the power tripping assholes, have your bags open and ready to be searched and be polite. A smile and preparation goes a long way to be on the winning side of blurred lines.
EDIT: Disregard, posted before I knew they updated their dumb policy to be a bit less dumb.
What I do: camelbak half full, cap off, all pockets open, hands full of keys and whatever else I am carrying. They usually just kind of look at me and maybe pat my pockets, and tell me to go ahead. Of course I am no wook and not a kid, so YMMV. But be nice, ask them how they're doin, and try to make it easy on them, and they won't hassle you.
And yes, you can definitely take a look around and see who is moving people through the fastest, especially if you have contraband such as water or gatorade on you.
I also sent an inquiry and a polite rant about heat, humidity, and proper hydration to info@bonnaroo.com.
My feelings are slightly different from others in this thread. If Bonnaroo doesn't want us to bring full water bottles or camelbaks into centeroo, fine. I haven't had to wait longer than a minute or two to fill up at a water station since I started coming back to Roo in 2012. Doesn't really bother me. Would I rather just be allowed to bring in water? Yeah, but the rule itself isn't the most frustrating part.
I've seen huge lines to get water. Not all the time, but I've seen them, and they could be worse now since a lot of people brought water in from outside. This is another money thing - banning even water means it will be harder for the sneakers to sneak alcohol in, or so they think. It's a dumb policy that will most punish innocent folks who just want to bring their Dasani, or Voss, Fiji, or whatever in. They've never allowed alcohol through the arch but I've seen all sorts of beer cans, liquor bottles, 5l bags of wine, you name it, so the sneakers still sneak.
And most vets won't notice the new policy so they'll try to bring water in, meaning even more mud than usual at the entrances. Dumb, when they should be encouraging folks to hydrate adequately by whatever means they choose. We'll still buy lotsa beer, as always.
Hey they fixed it, go team! One sealed bottle per person
Well, I'll be damned! Way to go!
Sorry I didn't read through the whole thread before getting riled up - it was only a day old, didn't think things would change so fast! So they DO listen... sometimes.
Well, I am going to roll with sealed gallons. I have seen others do this in prior years. I am positive with the randomness of GA security, I will get it in 2 out of 4 days.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
