So then if we believe the rumors I'd say...
#1. TBD #2. Kings of Leon #3. Chance the Rapper #4. Flume #5. The Lumineers #6. TBD
If we still believe that this festival is expanding to 4 days at the hope of becoming a bigger and mainstream festival - then they'd need a big #1 to warrant being called a cool lineup.

Anyone looking for spring break who's a teeny bopper is going to eat this up. They're just giving the kids what they want.
I can get behind Tame Impala and Chance as headliners, but surely they can get a better #1 since they have two smaller names at #2 and 3. Have Tame Impala or Chance ever headlined a festival before? I know Tame Impala closed out Sunday at Shaky Knees a few years ago, but I don't think they were listed as a headliner on the initial lineup.
Well I'm pretty positive Tame Impala was all but confirmed as a headliner. So Kings of Leon is more then likely #1
Kings of Leon, Tame Impala, Chance, Lumineers, Flume,
yikes
Honestly If this is true it leaves A LOT of money for a deep undercard. But crazy to think originally they went after Radiohead and we ended up with KOL. But it is Reddit so hopefully it doesn't pan out.
I refuse to believe they expand the festival and throw out KoL - Tame Impala - Chance as the headliners. You don't start with Radiohead and Arcade Fire and poop that top line out.

You do if you can't book Radiohead or Arcade Fire.

There has/had to be someone better out there to book. From what I understand Arcade Fire is still possible anyway right?

I mean they are not a ton of available arena rock level headliners. I can see them going with KOL or The Killers since they struck out on Radiohead and Arcade Fire.

God, I hope they have a better first line than that, but honestly we don't know how much money they are pumping in to the fest...
KOL makes sense for a central Florida festival because they usually struggle to sell arenas or sheds out down here. I'm hoping for something better, tough pill to swallow moving from Radiohead/Arcade Fire to KOL.
You don't go from Mumford - Kendrick - Skrilex to Kings of Leon - Tame Impala - Chance.
Even though I probably enjoy the second line better than the first. The only way that shit happens is if you strike out with every actual headliner. Are we sure there's not one more headliner that allows us to slide everyone down one spot. I could believe that.

Honestly I don't see them not having an EDM headliner so if there is one more headliner it's going to be Calvin Harris etc.. Just keep expectations low and if it turns out to be better then expected the great. But you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I think we will have a deep 3/4 lines instead of your typical top 3 headliner format.

Depends on how long they were in talks with Radiohead and Arcade Fire. If it fell apart at the last second then they may have had to scramble to find a headliner. Kind of like Bonnaroo did with Billy Joel a couple years ago.

Tame Impala is cool (wish they were second line though?) and Chance is whatever, but I thought I was over with Kings of Leon after Firefly last year for the second year in a row. They are like a never ending festival headlining nightmare.

Good point, wish they would have booked Billy Joel over any of the headliners we've mentioned. Who was supposed to play the year Billy Joel played at Bonnaroo?

I agree I couldn't think of a more painful rock headliner to get.. Black Keys is up there too.

Agreed, if this rumor is true, this might be the white flag for Arcade Fire...
Just hoping then that Arcade Fire doesn't skip the whole state of Florida again (other than their two "Reflektor" shows)

IIRC they had Prince locked up but he backed out. Same with Trey and the Grateful Dead when they bailed to play 3 nights at Soldier Field.
From what everyone posted last year, it seemed the EDM artists recieved bigger volumes of crowds than the rock ones. Unfortunately, I imagine the producers took note and are going to gear some scts, including a HL perhaps, to keep that hype.
Skrillex n Bassnectar already performed last year?
So maybe Deadmau, Pretty Lights, Kygo, Odesza? PREPARE FOR DISSAPPOINTMENT

Prince was rumored, but there was never any indication he was locked up.
They offered Grateful Dead a bunch of money, but they chose to do their own event.

So who's the 4th headliner? Or are they treating Thurs like up and coming acts like Roo. And also Kings of Leon is third at most major festivals, if Lolla books them this year....which I really hope doesn't happen(they've played too much), they would be a 3. Maybe more money is being distributed towards Roo's lineup, and Wayhome and Okee are about to suffer for it? Kings of Leon weren't even a one at Firefly, who has booked them so many times I can't count lol.

Okeechobee didn't even have live music on Thursday last year. I think if they do this year they'll take the Roo route and keep to smaller acts that day.
