So if we're moving forward with Arcade Fire~Tame Impala~Chance the Rapper I would say that leaves $$$ for a pretty remarkable undercard. I don't mind that top 3 at all - it doesn't wow but it's incredibly solid.
These are guesses but....
Mumford vs. Arcade Fire = Equal Booking Fee
Kendrick vs. Chance = Kendrick more expensive (+$200,000?)
Skrillex vs. Tame Impala = Skrillex more expensive (+$3-400,000?)
I'd assume that leaves an extra half million to use on the undercard, plus extra budget from expanding to 4 days and with more tickets available.
The top 6 we've seen doesn't feature any legacy acts like Plant and Hall and Oates from last year, so I'd have to expect they have some real tricks up their sleeve in that department on the undercard then.
im checking with a friend of mine who went to high school with the land owner. will confirm if/when i get a reply.
as far as the lineup. i understand why the Roo guys left. last year was a solid first year lineup. this shows clear signs of someone says.... hell we sold out last year, why not dial back the talent budget and increase margin.

It's supposed to be 4 full days now. Or likely how other festivals do it, with Thursday as more of a half day. It's March 2-5. Even on the leak it says that.

The second line and down isn't terrible. If you replace the top line with what we expected... Arcade Fire - Tame Impala - Chance - Chainsmokers - Lumineers - Flume I would be reluctantly ok with it.

It is so easy to get into a website and pull design elements from it. Most aren't savvy enough to know how to lock images, or don't know how to properly make them unobtainable. I have only come across a handful that I have been unable to actually find their images or be able to access them.
