im excited everyone hates this lineup (from what i've seen on facebook and reddit). this lineup is stacked for me
Of all the lineups out there, this has just about as many acts I want to see as any. It's just the headliners are a little deflating. Usher and the Roots should be a good time, but I'd hardly buy a festival ticket with that as my headliner wish.
Anyway these are the acts I got
Usher and the Roots The Lumineers Flume Pretty Lights Sturgill Simpson Young the Giant Porter Robinson Anderson Paak Griz Cold War Kids Bleachers SOJA Sleigh Bells The Growlers Moon Taxi The Floozies Badbadnotgood Joywave George Clinton Nightmares on Wax Ott Tauk Perpetual Groove Jacuzzi Boys

That's actually a pretty deep list for my tastes.
I've been to a few festivals and rarely do i REALLY enjoy the headliners. the only headliners i've enjoyed off the top of my head are as follows:
Macca, Jack White, Kendrick Lamar, LCD soundsystem. undercard usually does it for me
Anyone experience VIP last year? Looking into it this year.
I did it and it was worth it in my opinion. The VIP viewing areas were never crowded and the entry into the festival was super easy. Plus private bathrooms/cash bar/ food choices were good too.
I forgot Galactic was on the lineup. 12th Planet was great last night/this morning. I hadn't seen him in a few years and would certainly see him again if I go.

They put out the jungle 51 lineup. Nightmares on Wax will do a set there. That's going to be fucking awesome. Honestly, I'm probably as excited about that as I am anything.
From what I understand, jungle 51 is an open stage right on the beach that you can just walk directly from your campsite to. Bring your own beer, etc. Anyone that went last year, feel free to add any insight on that.

Yep thats right. Spent quite a bit of time there each night after the headliners finished up. Its a pretty fun place and the sets were pretty good last year. The Nightmares on Wax and DVS1 sets there have me the most excited. Last year catching Manic Focus and Tom Morello at Aquachobee were some of my favorite sets so it looks like I'll be spending more time in the Jungle than on the beach this year lol

It was across from the beach, if you didn't know of it's location beforehand it'd be really tough to find because it was surrounded by trees and shit and it was kind of in the back corner of the festival. I remember trying to go back there to see Win Butler and Tom Morello and the security guy told me it was closed for some reason, and I think I remember hearing from someone on here Tom ended up playing on a small stage by the beach instead.

Yep was at the rail for that DJ Windows 98 set before Tom came on. Started out as a fairly small crowd but then Win played Mr. Ghetto's song about Walmart and that attracted the ratchets and it got a little more crowded lol.
Have they released who's playing in Aquachobee yet? Overall though I'm happy with how this festival is shaping out. But I agree, everything is great about this except the headliners.

...she gave me her number in the checkout line. Hahahaha
Easily one of the most memorable songs I heard while I was there hahaha
That was a sensation here when it came out and of course Win lives here so he's gonna know that. It always reminded me of what Wanda Sykes was doing in the early 2000's with her Miss Peaches videos.

It honestly looks like a lineup that hasn't released it's headliners yet. I know that's obviously not the case, it's just odd seeing Usher/The Roots and Bassnectar as the 2 and 3. Wouldn't be nearly as bad if they had an actual #1 instead of KoL.

Sturgill as an addition yesterday was real nice, but damn losing Blood Orange is such a blow. Nonetheless, still got plenty to be excited for. I agree with a lot of you that other than the top line I actually dig a lot of this.
What I got: Usher + The Roots Flume Solange Rae Sremmurd Young the Giant Anderson Paak SOJA Mac Demarco Waka Flocka Flame Joey Purp PowWow BadBadNotGood George Clinton Con Brio Jacuzzi Boys Sturgill Simpson Vulpeck
Not a bad list for something under $300 and only 2 hours away. Plus I am so in love with the venue.
If anyone has any recommendations for the Jungle 51 artists that would be much appreciated, I'm trying to venture more into that scene but don't even know where to begin.

I got VIP for free last year. I wouldn't say it's worth the extra cost. I also got there early Thursday to camp next to my friends in GA but we were literally as close to the fest entrance as you can get in GA so I didn't experience the 20+ minutes walk into the fest some people did. VIP gets free showers, AC bathrooms, close camping etc. The viewing is nice since literally no one was VIP last year. It's not an elevated platform like a lot of VIP but rather just a separate barrier on the right side of the stages with a no line bar and no line bathrooms. With the capacity of this fest staying the same around 30K id say GA is more value.

It's been throwing me off forever that you have Tommy instead of Dil as your avatar, when I'm assuming your name is Dylan given your username.

My original username was "dpickles." Hence Tommy Pickles. But you're right I should look for a new avatar later.

Has anyone done a roll call for OK-chobee? Forgive me if ya have, I haven't been active on the board for a long stretch. Obviously last year was way better, but I'm still looking forward to this year and it'd be cool to do a meet up.
Anybody else see Sturgill on SNL this weekend? After watching that, I feel like we're all in for a treat.
Hell yea. Honestly, he could easily be headlining smaller festivals soon I think. He's easily the best act of the top few lines after Usher & the Roots IMO. As far as I'm concerned he's the third headliner not Bassnectar.

I can definitely see him headlining smaller fests soon. The guy really pulls out all the stops. Here's to hoping we get something similar at Okee!
