Ott is freaky live. I caught some of the 2am (might have been 4am) set at Wakarusa back in 2014. Someone I was with wanted to go to Floozies, and someone else wanted to go to Rusko. But I stayed for about 25 minutes or so at the Satellite Stage. It was pretty great, but definitely way out there. My oldest caught him at Tipper and Friends last year and said he enjoyed it too.

Nothing big added, I guess that's not really a surprise. I missed Sturgill Simpson last year, so I'm excited for that. Floozies is nice too. Certainly could have been much worse. I'm surprised there wasn't any big EDM add, or that it wasn't mostly EDM in the first place.
Sturgil Simpson •Funk outfit Vulfpeck •electronic-funk duo The Floozies • 12th Planet •Ganja White Night •Space Jesus •Basstracks •Kasbo •Pell •The Golden Poney •Vandana •Polyenso •Funky Dawgz Brass band •Octopus Kid •Roosevelt Collier Allstar Jam •Slumber •Tomas Station •Jon Simon
Roosevelt Collier Allstar Jam is the best add in my opinion. I'll be seeing 12th Planet tonight which hopefully will be good.
Funky Dawgs Brass Band were a lot of fun at Catskill Chill last year. After their set they hung around for the weekend and played pop-up shows around the grounds. They lead a marching line from the Mike Gordon main stage set over to the Pink Talking Fu late night set that was awesome. Cool guys too. Have my Chill poster signed by them all.

I'm more upset that Bassnectar is a headliner than Kings of Leon being #1. They mailed that one in. It's almost night and day comparing the top line to the rest of the lineup.

Yeah, it annoys me too. I don't follow him in the slightest, did he even release anything since last year that would warrant him headlining again and moving up a spot on the lineup?

No I don't think he did. It certainly appears that they just banked on his popularity rather than paying up for someone more deserving of the spot. I'm not a KoL fan but I at least understand them as a headliner.
My guess:
Friday: Kings of Leon>Pretty Lights Saturday: Usher & The Roots> Bassnectar Sunday: Lumineers>Flume
Does Okeechobee want to fail or something? Selling solely the experience with mediocre acts did not work out for Roo last year and it certainly isn't going to work for Okee

His Unlimited album came out after Okee last year plus he curated his own camping fest in Colorado so probably why he got a bump up on the billing.

Honestly their initial lineup and additions announcement doesn't even resemble their main selling poster last year which differentiated all the artists into their different experience like the main stages, jungle and beach. I don't know who would be where and even if they're doing it the same with their initial lineup poster.

I think it's more banking on the experience and the bassheads. Acts like Ganja White Knight and Space Jesus are huge in the basshead community. Pretty sure those three sold out an arena in Birmingham last year for Basscenter NYE. I'd bet 80% of the attendees traveled more then 3 hours to attend too.

There is no way Flume closes out the festival. I definitely think it's going to be KoL with an outside chance of Usher & The Roots.

Probably right, but not like there are at great choices :S
