It's funny because Joel kind of eluded (on twitter) that they had worked on that song a long time ago and kind of abandoned it and out of no where Kaskade finished it and planned to release it, although mau5 has been using the vocals for it in his past few shows he's done.
I didn't go the year he was there but I would be ok with Kaskade being back on that lineup. The most negative thing I saw about that performance was how loud the bass was bleeding over to the tents that had shows going on at the same time, ala Bassnecter from 2 years ago.
The only logical answer (and right answer) is pretty lights live band after his performance in nashville over the weekend.
The live band shows have definitely gotten alot better. I saw it two years ago and thought it was pretty lousy. But I checked it out again at The Meadows and it sounded pretty great.. Plus he talks alot less at those shows, which is a big a plus.

Word on the streets is derek was using heroine / going through depression after his breakup with his girlfriend. also they shifted up a few members of the live band so that might also be what's a little different. He did however do some freestyling at his show in Nashville, which in my opinion didn't sound like dog shit

I was checking out BT's Electric Opus and a new album he just put out this year as well. I think he's a super talented dude that would be awesome to have on the Farm. They probably don't even know who he is but I think he would be a blast to have and hopefully play a few pop up sets throughout the weekend.
My roommate just told me he won tickets to see Porter Robinson & Madeon tomorrow night, and I get to go! One of our other Roo friends saw Porter at Electric Forest this year and said his show was amazing, and I loved Worlds so I'm pretty excited. I haven't listened to Madeon much but what I have I've enjoyed.
This seems like a shoe-in for festivals next year. How was this show? I'm surprised that the tour is doing seated theaters as well.

The show was amazing! It wasn't that long but the visuals and remixes of their songs were excellent. I didn't realize how much they would both be singing during the performance, along with the other live facets I thought it was really cool. They also sampled a couple of other songs/artists that I wasn't expecting and made it more interesting. I'd see it again if they played it at festivals, but for some reason I get the feeling they won't tour on it that long. I'd love to be wrong though. Also, I think this show would work fine in seated theaters personally. It really made me wish I saw Porter on the Worlds tour even more.

At this point, who would we want/accept the most as the top EDM act this year? I'm talking in terms of realistic and likely. Mine would be Skrillex. Kind of crosses over to rock fans to a degree and has a massive assortment of songs/styles he could pull from.
(Clearly Daft Punk isn't an option and I don't think someone like Justice would be the top billed EDM regardless)

In terms of accepting a likely edm headliner Skrillex or Bassnectar would be my choice.
Less likely but still in the realm of possibility, Eric Prydz.

I was going to put him but I don't have any faith that they would book him as the top guy.

Even though I wasn't crazy about their second album, I've still managed to never see them, so I'd be OK with Disclosure as top billed EDM act, especially if they were on What.
1) Eric Prydz - Never seen him, and I've listened to some recordings of his shows and they seem like a great time 2) Bassnectar - Never seen him, my close friends rave about him so I'l love to give it a shot 3) Skrillex - I shamelessly love Skrilly, and I'd see him every chance I get. 4) Flume - Saw him at Lolla, thought his show was much better than I expected 5) Disclosure - Saw them at Lolla otherwise they'd be higher, their show wasn't as great as I expected though 5&6) Kygo/Major Lazer - it'd get my girlfriend to go, so that'd make me happy. otherwise, ehh

disclosure are only really great if they are packed with guests. from my 2 times experiancing them when their vocals are just played off the recording they're a lot less fun.
I'm kind of hoping they don't bring flume back so soon. I've seen him twice this summer and he doesn't really change up his shows at all. Don't get me wrong it was a good show I just want them to book someone I haven't seen (selfish I know).
