For me Justice is all about the live show. Their albums are usually just alright with a few gems in there but for some reason the way they mix it and speed it up just makes their live shows unreal. As far as this album goes I would say probably better than Audio, Video, Disco but more like that album than Cross.
Anyways like I said it's all about the live show. I'm excited to see how they piece it all together.

I just finished it and really enjoyed it. I felt like it trailed off the last 3 songs or so but the first half I was full engulfed. I'm also really into the disco sounding stuff right now so that also factors in.
Haven't seen much talk of Jack Ü, don't know if they are somewhere else during Roo or not doing anything. But just seems like an act Bonnaroo would pull to get a top EDM act that was lots of places last year.

I think that is because Diplo has been working on stuff or touring around with Major Lazer lately and I had heard that there were rumors that Skrilly might do some more Dog Blood stuff next year.

towards the end of the summer they said Jack U was done for a while, probably gonna take the year off and be back with a new album in 2018. major lazer is def more likely.

So Major Lazer is one of the top acts at EDC Mexico. I really must have missed the boat to when they became like a TOP EDM act. I always kind of thought they hovered around the mid to top mid teir of acts but its def plausible they could be the top EDM act this year. Which concearns me.

I would say it's very likely Major Lazer will be on the lineup. They have a new album coming out in January. Not sure if they would be given a LN spot on the Which Stage...

You can thank "lean on". Wasn't it the first video to reach a billion views or something?

Oh, they will 100% be LN Which if they get booked. I'm just surprised that they're gonna be higher than like #8

And such a bland song. An archetype of mediocrity and banality. I feel nothing when I hear that song.

I was thinking maybe the Bassnecter spot from 2015? Wouldnt their show kind of play better in the daylight though? Thats always kind of the impression I got at least. Frankly, lets get GirlTalk in there instead of them and be done with it.

I completely disagree. For what it was Lean On and the entire album was fun. Def overplayed. But honestly I would have been pumped to see them live until I heard all the negative reviews. Regardless I think they do pop EDM better than Jack U or Zedd

I respect your opinion sir. For the record, I do like a lot of Major Lazer's studio work. I'm a fan of the moombahton feel Diplo brings to his production, and "Peace is the Mission" in particular got a lot of playing time from me when it came out. But I was really surprised at how popular "Lean On" was. It just feels so lifeless and boring to me. But obviously a lot of people like it, so I'm missing something. Which is OK.
It's been a while since I've seen Major Lazer live. I saw them when they played Voodoo several years ago, and whenever they played Bonnaroo last, but both times was just about 10 minutes or so. I've said it so much around here I'm sick of hearing myself say it but DJs that won't shut up during their sets are a non-starter for me, and Major Lazer has two dudes whose job it is to not shut up during the set. Again, clearly some people love that, and love getting all hype during the show, but it's just not for me. The music is what should get me excited, not somebody telling me to get excited.
Having said all of that, since I do like a lot of their studio work, I'd be willing to give them another shot, barring conflicts, because it takes me making a mistake several times before I learn my lesson.

Honestly I feel the same about DJs talking. I saw Flume recently and he didn't talk at all. Was honestly one of the best EDM shows I've seen.

I agree with flume being great. Even though he doesn't really mix it up in his shows it was amazing both times I saw him. No bullshit, just jammin.

The talking during the sets thing is the biggest pet peeve of mine. Ive gotten into people like Mark Knight and straight House or Techno djs because they virtually dont talk at all during sets. There's just no need for a hype man. Fedde Le Grand is probably the only DJ I like that has a hupe man during his sets and i feel like it actually adds to the set as opposed to just some obnoxious yelling.

Props for mentioning Fedde Le Grand. His Ultra sets are available on Soundcloud and they are fantastic. Tchami's set from Coachella this year is great as well (no hype man or breaks in the music every 90 seconds).
