No way we get Flume and pretty lights. Probably just the latter.
I know it's not the same level but I would much rather prefer Big Gigantic and Griz over these of these or both.
Flume's new(er) show is pretty good but with Big G's new album I'd probably agree. Griz is also a guarantee to play 4+ sets throughout the weekend at a fest he loves (and nobody...I mean NOBODY loves the festival atmosphere more than Griz). Pretty Lights on the other hand has totally lost my interest. Used to love his shit and especially his shows, but I can't get into anything he's done in the past year+.
I had a better chance of being elected president at 27 years old, but if Roo got Epic 5.0 it would immediately be the best EDM lineup they've ever had.
I'd bet that we're getting pretty lights + band this year now that he's on the okee lineup.
I've been wanting to see his band set up for awhile now so I wouldn't necessarily hate if they were on the lineup, I think I would just want Big Gigantic more. But I wouldn't want him all strung out screwing shit up. I can do without that.

The whole new setup with the all the lasers PL has that he's using on tour with the band currently would be amazing to see live. I've heard nothing but good things about it so far. I really like the new Big Gigantic album, a lot more than Griz's, but I've never seen them live and I've heard negative things about they're live show. I'd still would like to see them live but if I had to choose PL.

Good news, according to Ultra's 2017 lineup poster, Major Lazer is now a "live" act! They must have gotten a marching band or something to parade around stage while Diplo counts to 3.
Also, they got Justice AND Underworld..... Hashtag sadface

Haven't Major Lazer always billed their sets as live sets? I wouldn't expect much of a change.

Yes, but to be fair they also usually have a marching band on stage at some point so he's still kinda right.
Ultra and Insomniac are the absolute worst at this, at literally every single one of their events/festivals.
Disagree on Ultra. At the end of the day, an EDM festival is obligated to appeal to the masses and book Tiesto, Alesso, etc. because that's who the vast majority of ticket buyers want to see. But, Ultra at least puts some effort in getting unique acts for some of their smaller stages. You'll never seen Underworld, Justice or the Prodigy at EDC.

Maceo Plex on the mainstage is pretty awesome though. Unless they mean "Mainstage" of Resistance, which I bet is actually the case. And hasn't Major Lazer always played the live stage? At least based on the last time they were there and I saw them on the live stream.

If they've booked Sasha and Digweed once before and now they are back together would it be totally crazy to think someone in the office would put the idea out there of bringing them back?
