This is short notice, but if anyone would like a free balcony ticket to Marcus Mumford at the Wang tomorrow (Tues) night, let me know via DM and I'll transfer it to you.
It's not COVID keeping me out of venues now, but some insanely loud work in my apartment building starting as early as 7 am each morning, which I'm really only able to tolerate by being up and fully caffeinated long before that time, so going out any night other than Saturdays is likely out of the question for the rest of the year (Yes, they work on Saturdays, too). Let me know by noon Tues.

Damn, I'd be going to this if i didn't already have Arcade Fire tickets for tonight.
Roadrunner is so nice, we get so many limited tours we probably wouldnt get if not for it. really wish we could get a TANP or Panorama up here considering the increased involvement from AEG

Went to the Wilbur last night. It's my least favorite venue in Boston now.
i think thats one of the only venues i havent seen a show at in Boston. what makes it so bad?
It's mostly a comedy venue, but sometimes has music.
It's an older theater. The balcony is steep, probably worse than the Hartford Civic Center. I paid $7 for a cup of Polar cola poured out a two liter bottle. The staff is rude and overly aggressive about phone use.
At least the seats have more leg room than the Orpheum

Does the Wilbur still divide up the floor into a few sections? I remember thinking that was really stupid when I saw Beach House there... just a little over decade ago yeesh.
I've only seen boomer acts like The Zombies and Todd Rundgren there since. At the Zombies an elderly woman asked if I went to the wrong show lol

I'm 37 and dragged the average age down a bit.
But not going to lie, I like a bunch of older acts anyway. I'm somewhat tempted by the Carl Palmer show next weekend.

Did you guys have the Whitney Houston dance party right before Turnstile came out?

I just turned 30 so I'm right around that corner! That woman was easily past retirement age by at least a decade. I saw Brian Wilson at the BSO a few years ago and the entire section next to me was what seemed like a retirement home field trip. Almost all of them fell asleep maybe thirty minutes into Pet Sounds lol
Is this Carl Palmer show with projections of Greg Lake and Keith Emerson "playing" with him?

I also was at that Brian Wilson - BSO show, I think like 2015? Was def among the youngest people in the room.

And yeah, it's the projections show.
Nice that was a great show. Ended up going both nights because tickets were so cheap.
I saw Carl a few years ago opening for Yes. His kids were backing him which was sweet but not that great. I bet the projections show will be much better.

That always happens at Symphony Hall. The season tickets they sell include the rock and pop guest artists who appear on rare occasion.
When I saw My Morning Jacket do two nights there in the mid-00's, I saw gray-haired old ladies in their 70's and 80's in the crowd. Some people just go to everything there.
If anyone wants a GA floor ticket to see Dinosaur Jr./Guided By Voices/Eugene Mirman ticket for Saturday night at HoB, let me know.
For right now, I'm not going to buy tickets to any more indoor shows in advance (well, I'm jumping on Peter Gabriel tickets should a Boston show be announced for his 2023 tour). So few shows seem to sell out in advance that I'd rather just take my chances and buy close to the show date if I'm up for the show that week. I didn't even buy a ticket for Dawes at Roadrunner right when they went onsale.
