My two big hopes for the 2023 The Stage at Suffolk Downs lineup are Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and a post-Boston Calling return gig by King Gizzard.

very glad i opted for w1 of coachella now, sucks to miss US girls and Caroline Polachek but glad to be able to see UMO and M83

really sad to see Angèle got cancelled. i’m sure it was due to low sales. it sucks that boston is so afraid of embracing international acts

Sometimes, there's a bad fit between venue and lineup. There's a package tour with Beck, Phoenix, Weyes Blood, and one other act at MGM Music Hall happening this summer.

Who wants to spend 6+ hours or so in an indoor no-readmittance venue? Do they even sell food there, beyond the small pieces of fruit they put in drinks?

The venue's capacity is nearly identical to that of the waterfront pavilion, which is probably a better location for a very long show. I'm assuming that they've probably already booked a show at the pavilion for that date.

Obviously, the show was booked by Live Nation, given the venue, so it has to be at one of their venues, but this sort of tour would be perfect for Stage at Suffolk Downs.

what is Breakaway? seems like EDM? do we know when a lineup comes out, or have a loose idea?

i guess breakaway is where all the edm/hip hop that wasnt booked for BC is going. the north carolina one looks super shitty

I can't imagine that they're singlehandedly headlining Fenway, so I'm wondering whom else is performing.
