Well I just left a nice paragraph response about the reducing of set times, the disappearance of the traditional late night that once made Bonnaroo great, and how I would like to see the Kalliope Stage destroyed by any means necessary. Felt good to vent.

HL: I submitted Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, and The Cure (although I could have easily switched any of those with Fleetwood Mac, Gorillaz, or Vampire Weekend)
Undercard: I submitted Fleet Foxes, Phoenix, and Beck
Choosing three undercards was rather difficult. I tried to pick acts that either haven't played Roo (Fleet Foxes) or haven't played in a very long time (Beck). Phoenix is just high on my bucket list, as I didn't really get into them until late 2014.
I'm always surprised at how much people like the foo fighters.
I said Radiohead/Beyoncé/Daft Punk and Queens of the Stone Age/Todd Terje/Bon Iver
I'm not the biggest fan of their catalogue, but I'd love to check them out in a festival setting. Plus, the Foos would go a long way in convincing one of my best friends (who I've been to Firefly and Gov Ball with) to make the trek down to Roo. Probably could've convinced him if they were booked in 2014.

I want a Dave Grohl curated Superjam.
thats ok Grohl will be drumming for QOTSA in a perfect world anyway so he'll be there. But Homme curating the super jam would be better anyway. Actually that sounds amazing, let's get a Josh Homme desert sessions super jam.

I'd like to see a 70's/80's heavy metal superjam led by either one. Set list would include covers of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, and Motorhead.

just put Homme in anything. The man can do no wrong.

I just don't see Vampire Weekend as a headliner for Roo for at least 4 years (arbitrary number). They just don't scream drawing power as a headliner. In the end what the fuck do I know?

I doubt they return in 2017 since they played a prime spot as recently as 2014, but whenever they come back to Roo they will probably headline. They're already on the cusp of headlining, and unless the new album flops, they will probably be headlining major festivals everywhere by the second half of 2017. Heck, it wouldn't shock me if Coachella books them to headline next year.
Also what the heck is the focus group? I said yes but I have no idea what it is.
It's what I'm going to be on. We tell them how to fix Bonnaroo. (with Bob Seger)
Tell them for me that they took one step forward and two steps back: 1. The shorter sets are a drag, losing a lot of the feeling of uniqueness in the festival 2. The new toilets in Centeroo seem fine, GREAT even. but they are only one area of the site, meaning there is much more porta use than new toilet use. The shortsightedness of cutting back on portas and volunteers at the sites was obvious - and ridiculous - let alone if you were out with the fray camping. There is NO problem with having increased women's bathrooms - but at a festival with a high male population, do not restrict the amount of portas. It's all numbers, and they f'd up that math problem real bad. It was terrifying the condition of male bathrooms by day 2 some places out in the Farm. And why, after a successful bout with the trenches for the man to cycle out of bathroom areas quicker, would you take them away... seriously, why. 3. If that's your idea of a storm, you aren't prepared to work in TN LiveNation.... and worst off than delaying everything, is telling a festival full of people with totems that and body heat(/natural moving electrical conductors) to all run back to their vehicles? that's insanity, and bad planning, and bad management altogether. I literally asked a staff member where the Brooers Tent was to reach the rest of my crew, and she had no fucking clue. Good job Roo, re-staffing really worked out. 4. VIPs/Artist Passes shouldn't have some new exclusive space in the pit. I watched two pits empty out and they literally wouldn't allow me in the pit, even though their capacity kept waning to half capacity. Yea exclusivity, I'm pretty sure the vibe of Bonnaroo isn't supposed to openly favor a class of people - esp. when it is completely unnecessary. 5. Thanks for not illegal searching the fuck out of me like the year before, that was nice.
Definitely the most comprehensive survey they've sent out. Hit the main points of shorter sets, longer set breaks, music starting later and ending earlier, lack of late nites, loss of unique bookings.

Headliners: Roger Waters, Radiohead, Gorillaz Undercard: Pretty Lights, My Morning Jacket, Portugal. The Man
Comments (summarized): People have noticed the later start time, earlier shut down time (where did the sunrise sets go?!), bigger gaps between sets, shorter sets... They tolerated it because of an acceptable lineup. This year they didn't. Return to form, ala pre-2015, and bring a good lineup. You can right the ship.
