I'm only going to go on sunday so I like your mock. I just feel Sunday Main Stage is way too stacked. It works perfectly for my taste but it would lead to a jam packed area all day at Main stage IMO.

If bleachers and misterwives were switched on this schedule - I might main stage camp it all day

Trust me if they made that switch I would definitely Main stage camp
Friday would be good by me outside of that AFI and Miike Snow conflict. Switch AFI and OK GO and then we're in business.
Dreamers Coffee House > Fickle Friends > Banks > Franz Ferdinand > AFI > Weezer > Miike Snow > Watch 21P from the back and question today's youth > Flume > Bob Moses
Thursday night could be cool with Maggie Rogers/OAR/Kaleo/Glass Animals, but for day passers, after fees it's $100 for Thursday ticket and $110 for that extra night camping. $210 to see some up and coming indie/alt-rock for a night is INSANE.

How do you put a daily lineups out that says Lil Dicky (act irrelevant) is playing Friday and then the next day put out a Facebook ad with him playing Sunday. Red Frog is a total joke
Slightly (but not too) different from the other one - except for the separate stages on Saturday for headliners, which is what I've thought they're gonna do with Dylan since they announced five headliners. But who knows - could very well be how the other one breaks it down.
Once you place Chance, Weeknd, and Bob Dylan, doing Saturday was just sad no matter how you do it haha --looking forward to exploring VIP perks that day.
So is there any way to catch Roadkill Ghost Choir if I'm staying in Wednesday Premiere camping?
You'd have to take the shuttle, which in the past has been spotty at best. I've been stranded a few times. You could also walk, though from experience I wouldn't recommend it. Since they play Thursday afternoon, you could wait around for the shuttle to get over there and then come back through the festival. Theoretically there wouldn't be any hitch in that plan.
Edit- For shitz I decided to actually calculate what the outside-the-festival walk is from north camp to south and vise versa, which is a common question and something that unfortunately many people run into for one reason or another. From the road entrance of north camping to the Speedway, it is a little over 2 miles. However, depending on where you are in premier it could tack on up to another 1/2 mile, and depending on where you are in south camping it could tack on an additional 3/4 of a mile.

Same boat, I wanted to catch them but I doubt I'll want to make the trek around to the South Hub. I'm hoping they still have a set in the festival at the coffeehouse or treehouse or something once the schedule comes out.
15% off not bad. do they normally offer that each year? if not i wonder how tickets sales are going?
First time I've seen any sort of discount code in the last 5 years. I assume ticket sales are slower this year, which I actually don't mind if the fest will be less crowded this year and hopefully will result in a better overall lineup for next year.
There was such an overload of kids (16-22ish) last year I'll be glad to reduce the attendance by any amount.
How was it compared to 2015? Only really cheesy edm was an issue for me.
IMO it has steadily climbed every year since I've gone (2014-2016). 2014 was barely noticeable (but there). 2015 and 2016 def had quite a few. You see it at the tent the most obviously, but when the night ends is when it's the worst. Since most of the kids are at the EDM shows late, they are all hyped up and obnoxious walking back. I almost got into a fight with a couple idiots leaving Sunday night sitting in traffic, kids jumped on my car and started dancing around and wouldn't get off.

Wow that's horrible. Hope we don't see anything like that this year.

I don't think you can underestimate enough how much Firefly screwed up the lineup this year. Even if the big ticket headliners weren't around in the US, Lolla and Osheaga showed how much alt-rock there was to snatch up and pad an undercard with. Look at this:
The xx - Phoenix - AltJ - Foster the People - Ryan Adams - MGMT - Future Islands - Spoon - Vance Joy - Milky Chance - George Ezra - Father John Misty - Live - Broken Social Scene - Royal Blood - Nick Murphy - Portugal the Man - Front Bottoms - Jagwar Ma - Mac Demarco - Foxygen - Angel Olsen - Car Seat Headrest - Cloud Nothings - The Hunna
The Weeknd and Bob Dylan are TOTALLY unnecessary. You already have Chance on Saturday it would have been fine as is.
Firefly is too big to let one off year sink them but as a someone who has been there since day 1 i hope they really hurt this year and they learn some lessons.

Yea they really went the wrong direction once Beyonce fell through. But does anyone really think they were going to have a sudden epiphany to be like "We now have 2 million to spend on the lineup (or whatever Beyonce costs). This is an opportunity to really improve the entire lineup top to bottom!" Nope.... The Weeknd it is. Dylan was a nice try, just poorly executed.
Excluding 2012 that wasn't really a full lineup, I'd personally go 2013>2016>2014>2015>2017. Sir Paul is enough makes that lineup slightly better than this year's.
I think it's pretty obvious the ranking goes: 2013=2014>2016>2015>2012>2017.. Even with 2012's lineup only being a third of the size it is now it still had more quality artists than this year.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

From a pure commercial sense, 2014 is the clear cut winner. I don't like it, but it's hard to argue in the 2017 festival climate:
It has 8 acts that would headline today: Foo Fighters, Outkast, Jack Johnson, IDragons, Arctic Monkeys, Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper, 21P
A bunch of second liners: The Lumineers, Pretty Lights, Weezer, Band of Horses, Cage the Elephant, Martin Garrix

I'd prob agree with your personal rankings. For me I'd possibly switch 2016 and 2013, but either way this year is last and I completely agree with 2015 being pretty weak sans Macca, and a handful of other acts.

No question it's selling bad. I wish they could make some Wayhome-like additions that at least add a little juice to each day.
Doubtful though - it's pretty obvious they spent their whole talent budget - just in a very ineffective and stupid way.
Imagine if instead of booking Bob Dylan, they held off and just added a upper mid tier act every month like Ryan Adams/Foster the People/Justice level act. Would have moved more tickets and kept the buzz going.
