Eh OAR is a harmless fun band on this lineup. This type of nostalgia sprinkled in is fine in the undercard along with examples like Dashboard, Dispatch, Wallflowers, etc.
Where you get into trouble is when you put them on your third line like K$sha and they start popping up all over the lineup.
I'm posting because my band, Honeytiger, is in the top 25 of Firefly's Big Break Live and I was hoping I could get inforoo's firefly crew to help get a fellow inforooer on one of the stages this year.
It is super easy: You'll need to create an account (if you don't already have one) and then go to Contribute Ideas > Contests > Big Break Live and find Honeytiger.

Did anyone notice the insane add-ons they're offering? $500 to shoot photos in the pit, $2000 to watch from side stage, $3000 to watch from the soundbooth and the "remote control" for the firefly sign color

Celebrating anything during Firefly weekend? A birthday? An anniversary? Potentially a proposal? Or do you just want to embarrass your friend in the best way possible?..because that’s awesome. We are opening up a handful of shoutouts on the big screen for those of you who want to get a point across. Our creative team will work with you to design the image, and it will be in rotation all day on the stage of your choice.

There was never any parking anyways (thankfully I live close enough to Uber/Lyft in), and they dumped all the A/C last year. Free water was always good, but they've essentially have rid any reason to get VIP.

there's been vip parking every year right up front, was hoping there was no a/c last year just due to the cooler weather, but super annoying. not worth the price anymore
Also based on the options for the viewing add-ons, it would seem as though Dylan and The Weeknd are on the main stage, but Chance isn't. Interesting - will update the clashfinder when I get around to it.

I assumed it was due to change explicitly stating he doesn't want people on stage/in sound booth

Would REALLY like to have been able to hear them kick around that idea.
I'm honestly surprised they got that cleared by any of the artists. If I was an act up there I wouldn't want someone strobing a sign above me throughout the whole set

They are gonna go Dylan on Main, Chance on Backyard, Weeknd on Main, Galantis on Backyard. What a disaster for all parties involved. The Dylan set is gonna be a Morrisey-esq shizshow, and the demo that would want to see both Chance and Weeknd is SOL. What a bad decision.
The only solace here would be if The Weeknd, Dylan, and Chance are all relatively unopposed, so it would clean up that terrible bottom part of the lineup for the rest of the day.

Whoever was responsible this year for this festival - meaning the lineup, the marketing, the "fan-curation" idea - needs to be fired immediately and they need to reboot this.
People love to make fun of Firefly on here, and some of it is deserved, but it is the premier camping festival for the Northeast US, and it needs to be better than everything this year. Embarrassing.
I can't find it now, but I want to say that's the company someone posted about on Magnolia Miracle about getting screwed out of a ticket they had paid for a few weeks before. Think they got a refund, but they had everything else booked and the ticket fell through.
Whether we win or not, I've already got my ticket and I'll see ya there!
