Hmm maybe I should do this instead of GovBall or Panorama. If they book Muse and an undercard on par with this year I'm down. I've wanted to go to Firefly for a couple years now but chose bigger festivals instead.
In terms of venue size and number of attendees, Firefly is a much bigger festival than Gov Ball. In fact, Firefly has supposedly sold more tickets than Bonnaroo each of the last three years.
I meant for price range. '15 I went to Lolla and '16 I went to Coachella

I really enjoyed firefly (was my first festival). If the lineup is good I'll be back. Although panorama seems like it might be a better choice if you have to chose one of those three.

Edit: you should come to bonnaroo too
If Bonnaroo defies the odds and comes back I would rather do that but I recently made a friend who offered his place in NYC for GB/Pano but Firefly isn't too far (based off of my geography which you guys know is awful) so I thought we may just be able to drive and car camp. Only going to do 2 fests next year though. My wallet will thank me

i count 21 acts i would like to see at Firefly, 5 that i don't want to see booked, and the rest i'm neutral/ dont know enough to judge. i think it drops off pretty hard after the front bottoms though. also everything feels realistic enough besides pixies, dont see them as a band that firefly would book.
didnt it say Phase 1 though? Even if he does come here it prob wont rule him out, last few years FF headliners and other big acts have played Philly and AC the same weekend.
I've been thinking Phoenix is a perfect fit for Firefly for a while now.
It makes too much sense to have something like Metallica - The Weekend - Twenty One Pilots with Phoenix and The Chainsmokers on the second line.
Phoenix headlined Coachella. They're not on the second line.
i think we can all agree that that headlining slot was a wash. that was in 2013 as their most recent album didnt live up to expectations, and they were second line at bonnaroo and gov ball in 2014. so unless they have a new, VERY successful album by lineup release, they arent headlining firefly.
New RHCP dates out - playing in Canada on the 18th(sunday) - could easily play Friday.
Well we all knew it was only a matter of time before they would be back. I'm still holding out hope that Firefly is one of the summer festivals Muse plays.

RHCP/ Muse/ 21p With a bunch of EDM and hip hop in the undercard makes too much sense to me.

I don't think they would have (essentially) two repeat headliners in the same year. 21P may be a headliner one year but I don't think it will be the same year RHCP comes back.
Well if Bonnaroo got RHCP and the Weeknd I doubt Firefly would share more than one headliner, if any at all. Right?
I just don't see Firefly booking The Weeknd. No Philly dates, but he has shows in D.C. and Atlantic City, as well as three shows in the NYC metro area. That's 5 shows in the Mid-Atlantic region within a month of Firefly.

I never really thought the Weeknd was in play either, although I guess I could have put them in a mock at some point. The only headlining rap type act Firefly ever had was Outkast, and that was clearly a different situation.
A lot of Firefly acts have played Philly the same weekend, so I'm not sure they care that much about Mid-Atlantic dates. I just caught up on all the Bonnaroo headliner info. I didn't see that before I posted.
One band maybe left out here is Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl is usually in Delaware during the early summer vacationing and it could be a kickoff before they go to Europe (depending on what dates get announced obviously). Firefly doesn't seem to be worried about repeat headliners.

Nah I can't imagine Foo Fighters back already. Give it a couple more years and sure.
RHCP definitely is still a possibility. If they are going to roo though I doubt I would also attend firefly to watch literally the same same show unless the lineup was THAT good.
