The Philly/DE/MD/DC area is like 21P's home away from home. Their comeback as a headliner was set in stone as soon as it became clear they were going to get billed as a headliner. I will say Firefly has done well since the 2015 disaster to involve fan input. Of course, input from fans isn't always going to lead to what small majorities want. But with things like the article mentioned about non-booking related stuff, it's pretty cool I think.
2017- Muse - Strokes - 21P (this is still somewhat wishful thinking) 2018- RHCP - Arcade Fire - Dave Matthews Band
Can't wait to see future lineup full of Tiesto, Chainsmokers, 21P, Lil Uzi Vert, Desiigner, and everything else you here on the radio every waking minute (not that it strays too far away from what it is now)
doesn't pearl jam win the firefly survey every year?
They are always up there. But I don't even trust what Firefly says about their survey. I could have sworn they said The Killers were the #1 picked band for the 2015 survey. In reality I think they were probably way farther down the list and they just said that as an excuse to booking them again so soon.
"Over the last four years, we have booked 31 of the top 40 mid-tier acts and 7 of the top 10 headliners. Blink-182, Earth Wind & Fire, Busta Rhymes – each of these were booked solely because you told us that you wanted them."

There's a much better chance of RHCP headlining in 2017 than in 2018. RHCP are going to have a very busy year in 2017, and I wouldn't be surprised if they take a long break after they wrap up their 2017 dates. My money is on them returning next year based on their North American dates.
Edit: I could see Firefly bringing the Foos back in 2018. There's a good chance they will have a new album out by then.
really cool idea, just hope it isnt TOO literal for the lineup. because we will end up with a 2018 lineup of RHCP - Imagine Dragons - KOL
Don't worry, it's not. The lineup won't be picked directly from fan voting and polling. Fans will have the ability to vote on some of the smaller, late additions to the lineup
Can I vote for more than 3 bar lines in the Lawn VIP stage yet?
I made sure to let them know about this. The lines for beer, food, and bathroom were all longer in VIP than GA. The VIP was the biggest disappointment I had at FF16.

i really hope they go back to how VIP used to be. last year was such a disappointment compared to previous years

so does this mean busta rhymes for 2017?
Lol Busta Rhymes. So yea that either means that he's going to be there in 2017, or someone goofed. So we've got Busta Rhymes and Phantogram = Bustagrams?
