Tom Petty's set list was soooooo bad in 2013, so I hope they don't bring him back. It was 2 hours of mostly deep cuts, and if they're bringing back a 2013 headlining artist it's going to be RHCP, I had a discussion last year with a red frog employee, about how much everyone at red frog loved that set.
Has Coldplay been ruled out yet? I saw them on a lineup already I think.
he/they '12 - Firefly '13 - Firefly, Made In America '14 - Firefly, Made In America '15 - Mountain Jam (Sunday), Firefly, Pitchfork, Made In America '16 - Boston Calling, Firefly, Osheaga, Made In America, Roots Picnic NYC '17 - Boston Calling, Gov Ball, Firefly (Sunday), Pitchfork, Day For Night '18 - Boston Calling, Mountain Jam, Osheaga '19 - Form, Firefly (Sunday) '22 - Boston Calling, Firefly '24 - Solid Sound, Soundside

i know there was rumors of him going on a hiatus, but J. Cole's new album "4 Your Eyez Only" preorder briefly leaked on itunes, set to release december 9th. I would rather have Chance as the top hip hop but J cole feels possible.

I used to crank out J. Cole's mixtape The Come Upon DatPiff...oh college.
i wouldn't mind seeing petty again since it was ridiculously crowded in '13
2013 was easily the worst year for the crowds. I remember Sunday of that year, I was standing on the viewing loft in VIP during Passion Pit and as I watched the crowd I thought "This looks borderline unsafe." I'm so glad the grounds are a lot bigger now.

Yea we were on the left side rail of the sound tower during Tom Petty, which in most cases isn't really THAT far up, but it was nuts. My friend left to piss, put up a pretty good fight to get back in there but never made it.

we were sitting soooo far back on a tiny patch of grass. couldn't hear a thing!
This new Gambino album is fucking awesome. I really hope that clue was a hint that he will be there again this year.
I loved his set in '14 one of my favorite firefly sets ever, I hope he's back, and if they wanted to do the same thing as '14, and put him against 21 Pilots, that'd be even better.

Just for fun I'm going to put on my aluminum foil hat for a second.
When waiting for a lineup "A trait we all possess at times. Hang right for us." is patience. Googling "patience songs/album" comes up with Guns and Roses and George Michael. Guns and Roses headlined Coachella last year so they have the Golden Voice relationship (maybe?), and would probably fit in at Firefly.

Personally I'd rather have a Wham reunion.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Guns and Roses up to this point.
They would definitely fit right into that Number 1 legacy headliner act. I know they were super expensive for Coachella to get the exclusive reunion #1 big show, but now that it's a year later and they've had a full arena tour they shouldn't be out of FF's price range at all.
