Yup, there's an inverse trend between amount of sets seen and the amount of people you have to babysit. Doing sets alone or with only 1-2 more people is the way to go!

I'm totally okay with this if Green Day runs through all of Dookie or Kerpluk during their set, they typically do when they headline a fest. I think they'd definitely get a better reception than Blink.

30 seconds to Mars is the band that will set the Firefly republic on fire. Sugar Ray would be the "...OMG AND SUGAR RAY".
Don't kill me here but I saw 30 Seconds to Mars at Voodoo Fest like 4 years ago and it was actually one of the better sets of the weekend. Jared Leto had a surprisingly good voice live.
I didn't quite have it up with Slayer, OutKast, Melvins, Fishbone, Foo Fighters, or Arctic Monkeys, but it didn't suck at all. Obviously they are cool guys and have a cool band. It was honest and pretty straight up rock. I'd see them again.

Billings aren't "wacky" unless you're a dum-dum who can't understand that lots of shitty acts have loads and loads of fans and album sales, and that those shitty acts are going to be higher up on festival lineupss.
