At ATP in 2009, I randomly walked into a room and Albini was hosting a poker game with festival goers. He just sat there all day dealing cards and shooting the shit.

Was this the Flaming Lips one at Kutsher‘s?
Yep, that was it! Such an incredible weekend - super intimate. Only ATP I was able to attend and always craving something similar.

I did all the Kutsher ones and remember that well. GZA did a Chess Room that I remember but don’t remember the year. We need more stuff like that these days.

Atp 2011 ( rip last proper u.s one ) I walked by the poker game he was having at 3am. There was a rumor that he had to pay off a couple people to even hold it in the hotel he was in.

People that worked for or around this beast of a B movie icon : Scorsese, De Niro, Bogdanoivich, Nicholson, Fonda, Coppola, Demme, Hopper..... American cinema wouldn't be what it is without him. He also brought foreign cinema to American markets for a good while. So much love for this man.

One of James Cameron’s first professional gigs was doing art design for Corman’s Battle Beyond the Stars.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

The man was a cinematic titan. RIP.
I had his name in mind and forgot to list it! Didn't Corman encourage Cameron's idea to make that one ship look like a pair of knockers? lmao
RIP David Sanborn. Smooth jazz sax player. Not really a big fan of his solo work. But the dude played on Bowie's Young Americans. He played with Steely Dan, James Brown, Springsteen, and a ton of others in rock and jazz. But I'm forever grateful for this.
My favorite fun fact is that in “Super Size Me”, he was also an alcoholic and so a lot of his health issues could be attributed to that more than the cheeseburgers.

Yeah. The doctor in the movie said he saw the liver damage be the type you get with heavy drinking but nobody would think that cauze of what he was doing.
The other fun fact is that a copy of his "where is bin laden?" movie was at bin ladens place when it got raided.
