UPDATE: 1:12 am EDT – Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington's wife Talinda Ann Bentley took to Twitter once again early Friday, moments after deleting her tweets in which she confessed to cheating on her husband with bandmate Mike Shinoda.
In the latest tweet, Talinda said she “encouraged him to kill himself I told him no one cared.”
Original Story:
In a shocking turn events in the apparent suicide of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, his wife Talinda Ann Bentley confessed on Twitter that she was cheating on her husband with band member Mike Shinoda.
"I guess this is the time to say it but I have been cheating on Chester with Mike Shinoda....," Talinda wrote. "I never really loved him and I'm not hacked I just was in love with the money hurts to say," she said in another tweet. However, the tweets were immediately taken down.
Paul Van Dyk did a lil tribute during his Tommorowland Set. Played the vox from Numb over his track. He did a remix of burn it down for LP, so that was nice of him.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I was in bed going through my facebook. Normally I would double check the source but it was from someone that usually does. I woke thejeremy up to tell him, he got upset, then I realized it was fake, woke him up again to tell him I was wrong. It was very stressful. LOL We were very much relieved that it was fake news.
Jay Thomas lost his battle with cancer, he was 69.
That's sad. I didn't know he was sick. I'll always associate him with Eddie LeBec, my first exposure to him, but I loved him in Mr Holland's Opus as well.
I had no idea that Maggie Roche of The Roches died back in January. They were a vocal singing group of 3 sisters (We are Maggie and Terre and Suzzy, we spell our last name R-O-C-H-E ) where Maggie was the Contrto, Terre was the mid and Suzzy was Soprano I think. Their first album was produced by Robert Fripp, and that's how I knew about them. He did some guitar work on what was sort of my theme song for college (though a couple years before I went) called "The Hammond Song." It will always be one of my favorite songs. RIP Maggie, sorry for missing the news.
I knew about them because I love Fripp. He performed and produced a lot of interesting different stuff back then while King Crimson was on hiatus from The Roches, to Bowie to David Byrne, Darryl Hall, League of Gentlemen, etc. Like I said, The Hammond Song is in my all time Top 10 and is personal since I also went to Southeastern LA University. "We" is kind of their "intro" song. Maggie sang as deep as almost any woman ever did in pop or folk.
Damn, I just read about Walter Becker... I'm just grateful that I got to see Steely Dan here in town a few years back. That was one of my favorite concerts of the last decade, and for sure one of the best instrumentally performed shows I've ever seen. Tonight after work, it's Steely Dan on the record player until I can stay awake no longer.
