I will never forget Roo 06. I can't even with this. One of the first musical acts I can remember identifying, enjoying, and singing along to.
yeah. growing up, Tom Petty was the first artist I claimed as my "favorite." Saw him multiple times through the years and he always put on a great show. This is devastating.
So bummed i never saw him. Always figured i would eventually. He was just in Austin with Gary Clark Jr too.. This is just another example of why it's important to see legendary acts when you get the chance, no matter the price of admission, get nosebleeds if you have to. Definitely goes down as one of the top American songwriters of all-time. More than most, he very much shaped modern rock music. Ranging from straight up rock n roll to country to jams to stoner rock.. Damn.
