The Old Man (Richard Harrison) on Pawn Stars died at 77. 'Get back to work.'
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Now who's going to cuss out Chumlee for making a stupid purchase and then immediately turn around and buy something stupid just because it reminds him of his childhood?
My favourite character from my favourite trash TV show. Pawning one out for the homie tonight. I want to have an all-night marathon... best I can do is three episodes.
Former Galactic (and Galactic Prophylactic I think) lead singer "Houseman" Theryl DeClouet died on Sunday at the age of 66.
Galactic's manager (I think she's their manager. Maybe touring manager? I'm not sure) is on my crazy Sunday kickball league. On our groupchat, everybody was talking about how hungover they were today after an insane late night league afterparty at Mick's. She mentioned that she was in the studio all day today and their drummer (Stanton Moore, of course) decided today he would set up his new drumset and play for five straight hours, which isn't the greatest for her hangover. She said the passing wasn't unexpected but that they were all thinking of him today.
Nikolai Volkoff (age?), Brickhouse Brown (cancer) and Brian Christopher Lawler (suicide) are all ex wrestlers who died yesterday and today.
Nikolai was the shit back in the day. He was easy to hate but was always a great troll to dumbfuck Americans along with Iron Sheik. “Stand up for the Russian National Anthem.”
Nikolai is legit an icon of the modern golden age of wrestling. He could get heat just by doing the simplest things. I never saw much of Brickhouse Brown, but it's a sad passing for sure. Brian Christopher hits me hardest... not just because he was around and a big star during my key years as a fan, but I remember back when I very first started watching wrestling (95/96, before he was in WWF) he was a huge local wrestling star. Living in either southern Kentucky or just north of Nashville, depending on the year, he was on my TV screen every saturday morning when I would watch USWA in its dying years. Dude was a serious star, just oozed charisma. His life was a tough one, being in the shadow of his legendary father and being a part of the tail end of the territory years, he always had some sort of substance issue. To bring a bright light to this passing, I'll share something that has been making the rounds:
Two Feet took his own life last night but failed and is now the hospital recovering. On Twitter he posted a suicide note, which is now deleted but yeah.. Sad.

Fuck. I really enjoy his music, it sucks that he tried to commit suicide. Fucking depression sucks.
Stefán Karl Stefánsson lost the battle against cancer today. I mean, we all know the Lazy Town memes at this point but he was a great actor and a lil part of my childhood.. I'm legit sad. RIP

Lift that sparkling glass of Krug for Robin Leach who has died at the age of 76. I recently saw him on an episode of Most Expensivist where 2Chainz made him try pancakes and syrup. Haha.

RIP Robin
I honestly didn't know that he was still with us nor that he was so young. He was one of the most memorable voices in 80's TV.
