I loved him in The Stand. He did a great job of playing someone who knew that they had made a deal with the devil and had accepted that it wasn't going to end well.

That is so weird. I was thinking about The Stand and specifically it's casting just yesterday. Ferrer was certainly one of the better casting choices for the dark characters. Jamie Sharadan was awful as Flagg.

Gary Senise was great in that. Loved Bill Fagerbakke as Tom Cullen, too. M-O-O-N. That spells Tom Cullen.

Hated Adam Storke. (Larry)
The cast was great for a TV mini-series during the time. Ruby Dee, Ray Walston, Ossie Davis, Max Headroom, Gary Senise, etc. Even Rob Lowe did well.
Larry and Flagg were very bad. Harold and Nadine weren't much better. A lot of this is on the director because some of those folks are good actors. They just had crap to work with or were badly cast. Like freaking Jamey Sheridan. My God that was embarrassing to watch.
I never much knew Can. The only German bands I listened to growing up were Triumpvirat (which is the German ELP), Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. One was progressive, the other two early synth/electric. I didn't know much Kraut Rock. But Jaki Liebeziet was not a drummer I was familiar with though well respected.
Who can turn the world on with a smile? Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile Well it's you girl, and you should know it With each glance and every little movement you show it...

With the Women's March still fresh on everyone's minds, its important to note how important women like Mary Tyler Moore and Lucile Ball were for women in the TV & comedy businesses.
RIP to John Wetton, one of the greatest rock singers of the progressive era. Most people only know him as the singer of suck group Asia. But he was part of the Frippl/Bruford/Wetton core trio of early 70s King Crimson albums Larks Tongues in Aspic, Starless and Bible Black and Red. After some stints with Uriah Heep and other U.K. Bands, he was a founding member of supergroup U.K. with Bill Bruford, Eddie Jobson and Allan Holdsworth. After Bruford and Holdsworth departed, UK released another album called Danger Money with super drummer Terry Bozzio.
I got to see Asia in 1984, and outside of 3 of my heroes being on stage (Steve Howe, Carl Palmer and Wetton), and outside of Howe and Palmers solos, it sucked. But I got to see UK play twice on 2013's Cruise to the Edge. Shit was fucking greatness. I got to ride the elevator with John on the cruise ship at port in Ocho Rios and had a nice though brief conversation with him. Fuck. RIP man.
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of one of the beloved #BonnaGrannies, Mary Niederhauser. Her young heart and adventurous spirit were an inspiration to us all. The Farm misses you already, Mary.
Take a bite of that turnbuckle for your boy George the Animal Steele dead at 79. Green tongue, a foreign object he'd juug you in the throat with, and mouthfuls of turnbuckle foam. RIP
