Rachael Ray will celebrate her 10th anniversary at South By Southwest this year with her 10th annual Feedback day party, along with a Feedback House.
Weezer, De La Soul, Action Bronson and Margo Price will be along the 14 acts playing three stages at Stubb's BBQ on March 18. The lineup will be filled out with the Districts, Benjamin Booker, the Drums, Caitlyn Smith, Gutxi Bibang, Big Thief, Radkey and Lolo, as well as regulars Bob Schneider and the Cringe, led by Ray's husband John Cusimano. Teddy Abrams, music director of the Louisville Orchestra and Britt Orchestra, is also forming an ensemble of Austin musicians who will accompany the bands on special songs throughout the six-hour event.
Admission will again be free, and Ray will be feeding the masses this year with Tater Tot Nachos, Queso on the Cob, Panchos con Queso, Nachos con Chorizo & Queso Supreme and assorted libations.

Another one, this one is FREE and featuring SOHN and benefits the place I work at! Here is the copy and paste of what I posted on FB, so there ya go.
Hey guys! Front Gate is hosting a SXSW event benefiting Kids In A New Groove (the organization I intern with). SOHN is playing, and they're awesome if you don't know them... also, IT'S FREE! Just RSVP!
I'm not going to SXSW (unfortunately) but for those of you who are I highly recommend catching Priests. Saw them Saturday night and they absolutely killed it.
Oh hell ya, a free !!! show on Monday at The Gatsby!
Hope they release the schedule soon, would like to know when !!! is playing. I have to take my car in on Monday, so won't be able to get into Austin til the afternoon most likely.
This website is pretty nifty if anyone wants to check it out. I think there is an app that goes with it too. Basically a compiled list of everything in one place and is filterable by location, free stuff, music, etc.

Lmk if/when you head to this on Monday and I'll prob come with. Yes, I'm inviting myself. I'm out for Kingdom tomorrow but I'm making Southby my focus for most of next week, so text me!
I'm also interested in going to see Jimmy Eat World (yes, I know, no fucks) on Wednesday and maybe Temples Tuesday. I work that Thursday so no Future Islands for me.

Ya, I've been having an internal debate with myself if I try and make the !!! show. I'm realistically probably not. They're the only band on that lineup I'm even remotely interested in, it's a 40 minute set, and I'd have to wait around a minimum of 4+ hours before !!! to get in if I really wanted to make it. If something changes, will definitely let you know.
I'm going to prioritize my time for Bug Out on Tuesday, Bug Out/House of Vans on Wed, Levitation on Thurs, and Black Angels on Fri morning at the Four Seasons.
I'm getting off a 12 hour shift on Friday, driving 3 hours, dancing my ass off to Matthew Dear, driving back 3 hours, and working another 12 hour shift on Saturday. That's how awesome Matthew Dear is going to be...you should still come!

I may down for most of that. I only work Sunday and Friday next week so I can def come out for most of that!
Sat the 18th is Rachel Ray and I def wanna try and make that for Weezer and De La Soul. Other than that I just wanna catch Minus the Bear, Sylvan Esso, and Temples and maybe Beach Slang wherever I can get the chance. I also have my eye on the NPR Showcase on the 15th with The New Porographers, Joey Bada$$, Lizzo, Sylvan Esso, Hurray For The Riff Raff and PWR BTTM (tho idk these guys) at Stubb's.
Admission will again be free, and Ray will be feeding the masses this year with Tater Tot Nachos, Queso on the Cob, Panchos con Queso, Nachos con Chorizo & Queso Supreme and assorted libations.
I hope Rachel and Action Bronson cook up something delicious together.
I forget the 3rd !!! show but it is looking like I may miss all of these. The best days of Music are literally Mon Tues and Wednesday.
Anyone trying to go to THee Oh See/Lizzo @ Scoot? I'm really trying to debate that or Thievery and WuTang @ Moody.
Other than that, Id really love to catch Jimmy Eat World finally, Future Island, Denzel Curry, Frankie Rose, ATDI but I think I'm pretty fucked with that =\.
Saturday @ Auditorium Shores hasn't been announced yet btw. Ill probably head to the Roots Jam again, though.
That's nice and gets me excited for this years lineup announcement.
SOS? I'm thinking they get a beefier line up after settling in on their new location. I hate that my current booked fests for 2017 are in November and December so it is a wayyyys to go before we'll know. Maybe they let out some secrets at this event

Ya, I'll definitely be there all day for Thee Oh Sees at Scoot Inn.
I'm still shocked Thee Oh Sees are only doing 1 show this SXSW.
Monie I'd be down for Rachel Ray if I'm not working, but likely I'll have to head back out on Saturday. We'll see though.
The Levitation show case is where you'll find me Thursday.

Are you a badge holder or is the Thievery and Wu Tang show open to public? Erykah Badu is playing that day too so I really want to go to that but I think it's badges and wristbands only.

One of my favorite little labels is doing their showcase at one of my favorite little clubs again on Wednesday.
I went to a Bloodshot party at Yard Dog Art Gallery once and it was fantastic. They were giving out free beer the whole time too. Alejandro Escovedo's SxSW '13 Sunday closing party at Continental Club was one of my all time favorite days of live music. Hell, he had all of REM minus Stipe there.
Roots Jam is back. That was a nightmare though and I would avoid if you don't have a badge.
Method man and redman, shakey graves and some other dude will perform along w other guests. Hopefully Ja Rule stays in town and hops in.
I went last year too, i thought it was pretty dope! Should be even cooler with Method Man & Redman and Shakey Graves involved. Jidenna is the other dude, he's got a couple alright songs. There's no telling who else shows up either unless the lineup leaks an hour before the show like it did last year.

I'd go with Wu Tang and Thievery Corp over anything else on that list. I think you and me saw Thievery together in the Portugal. The Man, Lotus, Thievery run to close out the final Wakarusa. I just gotta figure out if I'm hitting Griz tomorrow @ The Joy. Gramatik is sold out for Saturday there, and I'm guessing Griz will too for Friday.
Will it be more difficult to see Future Islands on Thursday at pandora or Friday at Mohawk? I was planning on dedicating my night to seeing them on friday but then they announced the thursday show and now I don't know what to do.
