It's so good. A little bummed Newport's no longer their actual first show back in the US, but I might try to make it up to their Portland show and will definitely be doing Brooklyn.
Saw Parsonsfield Sunday--they were great. Asked them about Newport and they said they would love to be there but they were going to be in Calgary then.
I'm really excited about this announcement. All of those guys are incredible. Love Sam, Kevin, Eric, and Joe from all of their own music. Josh's production work is stellar and he played guitar on a couple songs with Hiss Golden Messenger at their NYC show and fucking killed it. I think I'm more excited for this than American Acoustic. Either way these collaborative sets are a great way to spice things up
OK, this is great... but I already have 6 acts on Friday that I really want to see. Maybe paying this much attention this early out is destined to result in disappointment as you can't end up falling in love with each act. At least Saturday still has a lot of room for growth.

Idk if this year's lineup is just way better overall, or if they decided to announce more of the bigger acts early, but overall the lineup looks way better than what we had at this time last year.

Definitely the former. There are still plenty of spots for bigger names. I'm guessing DBT as the 5th or 6th name down on Sat. and American Acoustic 4th on Sunday, maybe 3rd.

Damn really? What "slot" do you foresee DBT playing?

Hmm, closing the Quad feels possible. Or two before the Headliner on the Fort

Saw Dawes last night - great show, was not expecting 2 and a half hours of music from them. They definitely stretched some songs out and the new touring guitarist is awesome (though I was a big fan of Duane, too). Impressive show but took until the 12th song for people to stand up - I feel so odd sitting at a show while Taylor is dancing around the stage. Get up people!

Seeing them tomorrow, looking forward to it. I was pleasantly surprised with how good they sound on that live album they put out and I haven't seen a headlining show from them in 3 or 4 years

Oook, that's what I was thinking. In my mind "5th or 6th down" would have an earlier slot.
Yeah they're a tough one for me to really assess because I think their northeast audience is obviously a bit smaller than their southern audience, but that changes at Newport. But I think FJM and Ryan Adams last year were both around 4/5 on Saturday.
