Oook, that's what I was thinking. In my mind "5th or 6th down" would have an earlier slot.
Yeah they're a tough one for me to really assess because I think their northeast audience is obviously a bit smaller than their southern audience, but that changes at Newport.
They played Royale last month, but the Columbus in PVD (capacity 800) in 2015
i.imgur.com/iIMGXcV.jpg Anyone seen the Winnipeg FF Lineup? We saw some crossover last year so I can see The Shins, Brandi Carlile, John Paul White, and Christopher Paul Stelling all making an appearance.
What about Okkervil River? They have been doing a "Acoustic Trio" and can definitely fit the mold.
Was gonna bring them up. Their dates have them ending in the northeast the Friday of Newport, which is definitely pretty suspicious. Seems like that'd made a good Harbor set.
Also, I think it's time we start discussing the potential return of Feist.

I'd love to see a Shins announcement this morning, given today is album release day.
Bon Iver presents John Prine and the American Songbook would be incredible, but Prine himself is an awesome get!
Do we even know exactly what that is? Also y'all have to understand that there's pretty much no way Eaux Claires shares those kinds of sets. It'd be like if '65 Revisited had played other festivals after Newport

Sjdigiwjrjfoskwoekensjxoglwlqmxofd Aaaaaaah!!!! It's really happening!! I can't even do words. Omg. Aaah! Holy shit. Omg. Thank you Newport. Thank you Jay. Holy shit. I'm driving 7 hours to see Prine in Hershey, PA on the 31st with my father, who last saw him in like '74 I don't know if I can survive twice in one year. Omg.
Man. Not that I had any doubts (in Jay we trust), but this lineup is making me tingly all over.
Side note with the talk of Dawes shows on the last page- anyone doing Hartford or Northampton? I have a friend for Northampton, but doing Hartford alone.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Depending on my schedule (I may have to work until an hour before showtime) let's get food/drinks before the Northampton show. I'll keep you updated.
Is this the anticipated Sunday headliner? (I guess especially if Bon Iver shows up)
Bon Iver's not showing up. The Eaux Claires set is basically a tribute to John Prine that will feature John Prine. This is a John Prine set. Let's put this to bed.
But I think Prine could go either way, though I'd lean towards headliner with another big name right underneath him, like Flight of the Conchords and Ray last year.

If it's Bon Iver I'll buy everyone a beer. But just one beer for everyone to share.
Chris Thile or any of the I'm With Her people seem like likely candidates. Also Jason Isbell if he or Amanda Shires are back this year.
Dibs on first sip!
He's also had a history of playing with country female singers. Could definitely see Kacey Musgraves or someone along those lines joining him for some songs (especially if he's headlining)
